Planning on getting an HID retrofit

hindi naman. im using CN light fat bulbs and it seems to hold up pretty well after several years of use. these are rated 55watts . had to file projector opening para pumasok yung bulb.

edit:

just checked my ballast - 70W fast bright pala and based sa serial its 2011 pa.

Boss as per experience with Xenon Concepts, to be honest iba yung buga ng retrofit niya against GaryQ/Redline. Hindi ko sure kung sa lens or sa bulb yung medyo may problem ni Xenon. Parang ang "china" sobra compared kina GaryQ na talagang OEM/better than OEM yung bato ng ilaw.

Btw, yang stage 2 na ni Xenon Concepts yung point of reference sa sinasabi ko.

Thanks for the feedback bro, very very insightful. I'm curious - how can their retrofit be weaker if they use the same parts as the higher end shops?

meron bang consolidated list ng ginagamit na brands at parts ng mga nagreretrofit satin per stage? ang hirap kasi kapag stage 1 2 or 3 and OEM na wala namang brand kung ano ginagamit.

Minsan parehon ung projector ng stage 2 at stage 3 pero indi mo alam kung bakit ang laki ng jump ng price.

Based sa canvas ko kay redline, Aware lang ako sa VIP package nila. Ung kay garyq, ung OEM nya gamit ata nya koito + philips.

May isang shop akong napuntahan i forgot which kasi medyo matagal na din, may dinemo siya saakin na 2 identical "Koito Q5" lenses which is the "stage 2" ni Xenon Concepts. There was a big difference on the lens itself between those 2 "Koito Q5" lenses.

What I think he's trying to tell me is that some retrofitters especially the budget ones use the Class B ni Koito Q5 lens which i think is very possible na ginagamit ni Xenon Concepts kasi wala na daw kikitain yung budget retrofitters if they'll use the Class A ni Koito Q5 which is the real deal or the closest sa real deal.

Kaya walang consolidated na basehan ang mga stages ng mga retrofit installers is dahil magka iba sila na gina gamit sa parts and also kung paano nila alagaan ang headlight natin. Depende din yan sa price and availablity ng mga parts. Example lang is yung NHK na 35w D5S bulbs. Nag inquire ako dati sa redline magkano price nung bulb na yun and it was 8k 3months ago. ngayun nasa 11k na yung bulb. And I dont think dahil sa demand yun dahil dahil di naman in demand ang d5s sa mga gustong magpa retrofit mostly gina gamit lang yan as a direct replacement na ayaw mag palit ng projectors. Also yung stage 3 ko dati sa redline is mga 26k ata yun if my memory serves me right, ngayun baka nasa 21-22k na lang siguro.

Dinemo niya yung actual lens itself. Nilinisan muna niya from the boxes yung 2 sample lenses then pinahawak saakin yung lenses then sabi niya tumingin ako sa malayo thru the lenses, yung Class B na sinasabi niya totoo ngang malabo yung view as compared doon sa isa pang dinemo saakin na Class A. (Think of it as the glass na nabibili sa department store vs yung glasses na ginagamit sa carinderia for the service water.)

Nakakainis lang kasi nakalimutan ko na kung anong shop yung nagdemo saakin.
