i can attest to that quotation from Metrobank,
i was at metrobank last week to open a current account.
they asked me why i'm applying a checking account and sabi ko i will use it to pay for the monthly amortization ng car loan if ever mag apply ako.
sinabi sakin nung staff na dun nalang ako mag apply, told them hihingi muna ako ng quotation from them.
lo and behold, they handed me the quotation, Lancer EX 1.6 AT 20% DP. M.A = 14256 Chattel =12570.
baka sakanila na ko kumuha, haha

nga pala, i read somewhere na yung bpi is nag offer ng yung 2nd monthly M.A is on 4th month pa, totoo ba yun?

Pwedeng parehong tama:

EIR Effective Interest Rate is 15% for 36 months. This is the straight interest calculation.
Yung 9.88% is bank rate (may specific silang term for that, can't recall).

Pero, tama, best to clarify with the bank para clear. And the most important is that you get the best (lowest) monthly amortization for given xx months term.
