in truth, before the announcement, no one knew when the increase was going to take place.
    marami lang talagang "sigurista".

ang gusto kong malaman... ngayong alam na kung kailan, ilan ang a-atras?

I can live with this increase if it will fund our transportation infrastructure. We all benefit. And driving can be more enjoyable. But the previous proposal and the price hikes were crazy. I admit i went panic buying hahaha. But am very happy with the purchases.

Now at least i can program my car dreams more sedately. And more prudently. Yes its more expensive but not impossibly expensive.

    The GT-R dream remains alive

More acceptable, but on the luxury segment it still stinks of populism/socialism. And the excise tax on fuel will still bite us hard.

I actually went to 3 dealers prior to buying my new unit. All offered the same price and discount. I went with the sales agent who didn't mentioned the word excise tax during the negotiation and final sale. For the 2 agents, they keep mentioning the excise tax right from the start.

Unfortunately... these new taxes are necessary to cover the expected shortfall in collections after they exempt millions of low wage earners from income tax altogether.

In other words... don't expect any major increase in infrastructure spending as a direct result of this tax... though the government is hard-set on spending as much as possible, anyway... as long as a China-allied President is in office.

So looking forward to paying off all those Chinese loans with compound interest.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
