medyo guilty kami dito hehehe. Ang balita ko ng dati June kaya ayun napa aga ng bili, dapat Nov of this year pa (malaki discounts ng ganon month usually).

Ang inisip namin ni misis e bumili na, kasi regardless of excise tax may mga minor price increase din talaga mga dealers by April (so far natuloy na toyota nung March at meron pa daw, Mitsubishi and Isuzu this month if not next month), 20-50k daw.

Auto excise tax is part of the 1st Tax Reform Package of DOF (main component is lowering of individual income tax). It didn't pass Congress last March 2017

As far as I know, they will prioritize this in May 2017 (when Congress opens). However, a lot of items on the package is still up for debate. May-June 2017 will be crucial in determining if this will really be implemented this year. If passed during this period, they can implement as early as Oct. 2017.

In short, abangan ang susunod na kabanata

Btw, I'm guilty of panic buying. At least tapos na. I don't need to worry on the outcome.
Excited on the income tax reduction na lang. Tapos, happy because I got away from the price increase this May worth 60k. Good decision na rin

Hindi matutuloy yang excise tax. Not until the tax reform is finalized, but it's been delayed just like all other initiatives of the government.

Car companies are just taking advantage of paranoid buyers.

Bottomline for me - if you need a car now, buy one. If you don't, don't buy. Don't be pressured by something that isn't even certain.

I wonder how this will affect the second hand car market. Will the excise tax drive the price up because of more demand for second hard cars?

Shouldn't we report those dealers who already adjusted their price kahit wala pa ang bill about tax?

They can price their cars any way they want. Car pricing is not regulated by the government.

Pag masyado mataas, walang bibili. But the reality is, even if they raise the prices by a few hundred thousand, dami pa rin buyers.

But if you really wanna push through with it, complain mo na rin bakit yung Porsche 911 nasa 9M dapat 5M lang eh. 😂

we'll just have to grit our teeth, and hope for the best.
and we can show them our dis-pleasure, by buying from the competition.

Baka yun talaga goal nila.
