I understand that but TRAIN would have been better if it targeted more the rich and not the poor:
- raise if not retain the same rate of tax on luxury vehicles
- tax savings on high (6-digits monthly) income individuals could have been nullified (same as the current)
- increase tobacco tax to further discourage its use since the govt already bans smoking in public (but of course Mighty Tobacco is friends with Dutsbag so it didn’t happen)

The poor, including those without a regular job, already minimum wage earners (security guards, drivers, cleaners, everyone not working in an office) pensioners (our lolos and lolas who have no regular monthly income), families of OFWs will be hit harder with the surge in oil, electricity, goods and services prices. Pinoys are generally just too short sighted to see this.

I'm surprised that the Piston or whatever jeepney groups are not yet petitioning for a fare hike, they should be doing it this early as LTFRB says it is still subject to their approval.

The gov't could have also showed it is one with the people if they slashed if not entirely give up their pork barrels to help fund the projects, but nope, not Dee Gong's and his cohorts.

But i think ganun talaga ang buhay, we are the ones who elected this officials. For my strategy, i'll just retain my lifestyle with the increased net pay, and avoid as much as possible yung mga bagay na magmamahal. Yes there are inevitables like gasoline and inflation, but no one is preventing me from biking, walking, or buying cheaper yet more beneficial consumer goods (e.g. mixing corn with rice which is a lot cheaper and healthier). With this, I can beat the government legally.

We cannot be pro poor and be concerned at their take home pay. The purpose of the tax is to show the world that we are progressing and has the capability to pay the infrastructures. If we have a good taxation system, our credit ratings will improves and therefore i more investments.

Old Katwiran na yan na pano ang mahihirap, if we truly cared for the poor as citizens, then We should support the government. Their take home pay would never improve coz they don't know how to spend in The first place.

meron ako kapitbahay na ospital ng 16 days then nag expire sa Chinese Gen., wala pa 200K ang bill.. 2 araw natulog sa morgue dahil wala laman CC kaya di mailabas ng mister. tinulungan ni Mr. Chan (employer nila mag asawa) na ninong din nila sa kasal....after mailabas, nailibing... ngayon binebenta na lote sa nova at yung 2nd gen montero nabenta na. kawawa.

i have friends and acquaintance na ganyan. kaka simula palang ng work at starting to stabilize palang mag car loan na, and take note bnew kinukuha na smart car. tapos mga cellphone laging latest then post agad sa fb para madami mag like.

karamihan naman habang lumalaki sweldo lumalaki din expense (luho). kaya ayun kahit malaki na sweldo umuutang pa din sa friends.
