what do you mean by "13-14 is to 1 ratio" ? Are you refering to your air-fuel ratio? IF you are, you later claimed you are running 18:1... how did you measure this? Seat of your pants meter?

13-14 km/L is pretty high for an SIR...

so am assuming that it is the af ratio... maybe he has af gauge onboard...

if it did 18:1, well then we ca really say that KSTC is just running your engine leaner...

actually, effective siya talaga...

in the sense na:

lean running engine = better gas consumption = lower HC & CO emmission

pero eto rin ang cons ng lean running engine:

- lessens engine reliability (most vehicles nowadays are tuned to run between stoich & rich)
- hot running engine... which can lead to some serious damange to your pistons, etc.
- dramatic increase in NOx emmission - which is more deadly than HC & CO - since it makes your cat converter ineffective
