I am curious about the results from that Australian tests that Freeman mentioned about months ago. He was so sure it would blow us out of the water, so to say. He is still active in the 4x4.ph forums but keeping away from the khaos discussion over there.

    Here's something interesting.
A friend was by the shop recently.
He was telling us about how a client of his whom he had installed a K&N air filter on also installed a Khaos device.
His client monitored absolutely no improvement of any kind.(well maybe a lightening of the wallet).

Another friend had the Khaos device installed on his Cefiro which he had been using trouble free for 5 years.
He regrets his use of the device as it caused him countless headaches, worst fuel economy(4.5km/l from his norm of 5.5km/l) & made his engine run erractic for quite a bit of time until he finally gave up on it.

A client with a Ford Escape also had one installed at the main office.
He was given the following advice by them:
If you want to get maximum improvement from the device you have to step on your accelerator slowly & gradaully & avoid sudden starts.
    Get a tune up.

    My 2 cents,
I have yet to encounter someone who has had it installed on a vehicle in a decent state of tune & did not encounter problems or get an improvement without changing their driving habits....

ang galing, telling the customer to change his driving habits yun pa lang, gaganda na ang mileage.

i actually love this khaos thing, from a marketing perspective. pero short term lang din, because in the long run, mabubuking rin ito. sira ang pangalan ng khaos and inventionhaus. but in the philippines, where we have very short term memories (as evidenced in politics), this might not be too big an issue

    luckytruck,

The Khaos device & it's success from the marketing point of view is a product of the economic environment.
In hard times more people will use their ass more than their brains. :D

Here's a more personal example of fuel economy improvement by just changing driving habits.

I used to get an average of 6.5km/l on my car a simple change in driving style gets me 9km/l under pretty much the same conditions, using the same fuel.
Simple number crunching tells us that I improved my fuel economy by a whopping 38% & I didn't have to be "persuaded" into buying anything.

As far as fuel economy goes, one way for us is to stay late at the office. I last had a full tank last Sunday, so normally my tank should have reached the half-empty mark yesterday. But since we've been going home from the office past midnight, when traffic is at an absolute minimum, I noticed that I still have some 4-5 liters more than halfway on my tank, meaning I can afford to put off that trip to the gas station until tomorrow.

Am currently averaging 7.8 kms/li on my xtrail, hope I can achieve over 8kms/li, I usually turn off the aircon for the first few kms of my trip and few kms before my destination. I also try to avoid sudden braking and accelerating. Malaking bagay din yung .3kms/li it amounts to an additional or around 20kms for me (if my math is correct)

Could someone post the billboards they have along the major highways? Hehehe... Curious ako to see them. Thanks.

I wonder how the Khaos thing is doing in Spain and the other countries where its marketed?

Last 35,000 kms PMS ko..nagpachange oil ako at nagpalit na rin ng spark plugs.

Nag-improve ang fuel consumption ng Escape 2.0 ko from 5-6 km/L to a whopping 7-8 km/L on city driving.

Big improvent in my opinion..big savings pa! Di pa ko nagpalit ng driving style nyan ha.

Hindi ko na kailangan ng KHAOS..ehehehe

    Question

Anybody heard a fuel saving device named gasmizer? Its made of cooper and it is installed between the fuel pump and the carburetor/ fuel injection. The gadget works by preheating and pressurizing the fuel through the circular movement of the piston with in the device. The same motion produces heat from the friction caused by the movement. The fuel that passes through the gadget is atomized, turning it into " Miro-spray" form before it reaches the reservior of the carburetor. The preheat fuel allows a more efficient combustion thereby reducing your fuel consumption.

Do you think that gadget really saves fuel?
