Current pricing at 699k means it is not the same value as when grey market sellers were asking for half a million a couple of years ago for similarly-sized EV's. The QQ Ice Cream in China starts at a little over 200k for the base "Pudding" variant while the TOTL variant, the "Sundae", is just under 400k. The 300k markup we are seeing in Manila is quite difficult to stomach.
The base model of the Wuling Bingo, currently on sale for 796k, has four doors, 2 airbags, higher range, and, more importantly (for Philippine roads) has larger 15" wheels compared to the 12" ones on the Ice Cream.

$15k = about P840k
If they make full use of EVIDA and TRAIN tax exemptions on BEVs this could be a very serviceable EV for about the price of a 1.5li Vios.

China's economy is tanking and in a deflationary spiral so car sales are way down. They're pricing it very low in order to encourage sales abroad.
