Toyota Innova G AT or Fortuner G AT?

personally, my beef with larger vehicles, is the difficulty of driving them thru narrow alleys, and parking them in mini garages.
am i uncomfortable driving a larger vehicle with empty seats? not in the least.

OT lang... Wag madaliin ang pagbili ng kotse. Get a 2nd hand cheaper car first then sell it when the baby arrives and upgrade to a bigger car.

Unless you are already expecting, di pa natin sure kelan kayo magkakababy. When the baby comes, mas malaki pa gastos sa baby than the monthly of the car.

5 years ago, wife was pregnant with our eldest. Vios lang kinuha ko. We survived naman until the 2nd baby came along. When the 2nd arrived kasya pa naman kami with 1 yaya sa loob ng vios but i already saved some and bought a new innova, mostly because i thought i needed it.

To be honest, masyado malaki innova for the 4 of us (plus yaya).

I see, so on top of the monthly amortization cost plus monthly gas expenses, i have to take into account PMS as well. Labas pa yung cost if may kailangan palitan sa kotse.

Casa all in (40%-50%) interest rates nila... mostly 50% for 5 years...

Banks loan depends on number of years...
Rough estimates...
3 years - 15-17%
4 years - 20-23%
5 years - 25-30%

Isama mo na din yung sinasabi nila na cost of ownership (pms, gas and etc.)

Also, as what they have told you...
better for you to get qoutation from your casa and how much monthly and dp you will pay then go to banks metrobank, rcbc, bpi, eastwest, etc. and get the same...
By that time you can decide which one is convenience for you... if you are okay with low dp and high monthly (big interest casa) or high DP with low monthly (low interest bank)....

Try checking the toyota dealerships for Pre-owned cars. They usually come with a little bit of warranty but with the downside of a slightly higher second hand price compared to market average.
There are also some banks willing to finance a second hand car although the interest is way higher.

some lending institutions make installment computations, such that payments are completed by the time the car gets to be 5 years old.

For the meantime, I will be visiting the casa to get a quote so I know how much I am dealing with. My wife and I already have a set amount we have discussed that we can spare for the car we plan to purchase. hopefully pasok sya sa budgeted namin monthly.

The Avanza and Rush looks good too. However, I was picking between the two firstly because they had the promo in the dealership in our hometown. Secondly, I like the arrive the innova has over the avanza or rush. Technically we could still afford it. But if the baby arrives sometime next year, it might be difficult to keep up.

I am still in discussion with my wife and I think she would agree with me when I say the baby expense plus the car expense (if we pick the Innova) would be too much for us to bear.

On a different note, would the savings from getting the E variant rather than the G variant. As far as i know, the main differences are the Immobilizer, Airconditioning system (manual vs auto), Rear parking sensor. Would it be better to save and get the E variant and just have an outside supplier install the parking sensors, etc?

I suggest you check out both trims of the Innova. If you are considering the Fortuner, maybe you can consider the TOTL Innova model. The Innova 2.8V has the captain's seats and a more refined interior trims.

I think i prefer the bench seat over the captain's seat as it is more spacious though i might change my mind once I see it in person. The interior trims for me are not a priority, more of a nice to have rather than something im actively seeking.

The Immobilizer on the G Variant is pretty nice, added security for the car is always welcome. Our neighborhood is mostly quiet and I never heard of car-napping incidents but the added security is still a great addition and I can't breath a lot easier when I park it in different places. If you don't mind a vanilla car, then you'll be fine with the E model. I don't think you can install an immobilizer outside but the parking sensors are easy to source. You can also have the seats reupholstered outside.

Sir, also check for safety features on G vs E... since you are planning to bring with you your family in the vehicle... i know toyota has standard 7 airbags... also, some safety features cannot be installed outside casa...

Toyota could do that but those items are easy to install. The rear camera though requires a compatible headunit.

Not just the 200k premium. Consider the cost of registration renewals (SUV vs UV), cost of tires (SUV tires are considerably pricey versus van tires), cost of underpinnings, and even insurance premiums.

Get an E matic. The added electronic bells and whistles do not age well if you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time, much better just to have added non-essential accessories installed outside.

innova wheelbase is 2750 mm, versus fortuner's 2745 mm.
innova's width is 1830 mm, versus fort's 1840.

i do not think, fortuner will offer much more passenger room over the innova.

but i can not argue with the fortuner's arrive, and the innova's relatively non-arrive.
