For a Regular Car Loan, it would be:

Total Cash-out = DP + LTO registration (first 3 years) + chattel mortgage fee + first year insurance + 60 (monthly amortisation) + insurance cost of 4 years

Insurance cost for the next 4 years evens out between the two options so the key things to consider are the items in the acquisition cost (DP, LTO registration, chattel mortgage, and first year insurance). If the difference in total cash-out is minimal, then by all means choose the one that works well within your financial capability at the time of acquisition.
I see. I think I'm getting it. A couple of questions though:

    1. chattel mortgage fee is covered in the all-in promo? (If not, add ko pa to sa total cash-out right?)

    2. First year insurance is covered by car loans offered by banks? After the first year ako na hahanap ng preferred ko na car loan?

chattel mortgage and 1st year insurance are "free" in the all in promo.. pero usually naka lock in ka sa insurance for the duration of the loan.. and the succeeding insurance premiums will be expensive.. compare kung kukuha sa labas..

pag thru bank, may mga promo minsan sila na free ang chattel mortgage and first year insurance.. pero kung walang promo, babayaran mo yang chattel and yes, ikaw maghahanap nang insurance for the 1st year..

For the ALL-IN DP promo, chattel mortgage fee + LTO registration + 1st year insurance is covered already. For a normal car loan, you have to pay the chattel mortgage fee on top of the DP.

Different banks offer different promos. Some offer free LTO registration, some offer free chattel mortgage, some offer free 1st insurance, and some offer a discount promo. Choose the bank that will give all three items for free.

As for the insurance, unless you signed an agreement with a bank to solely use a specific insurance provider, you are free to choose which insurance company to cover your car.

I see, so I need to have a hefty amount in cash on hand pala. Thank you sir. I think the DP would be the part where the wife and I would have a hard time in, however the monthly amortization would be bearable with our combined incomes I think.

    actually,
bringing the car home is the easiest part of car ownership.
the regular monthlies and maintenance schedules... are more difficult than one would imagine.
the repossessed car industry is witness to that.
good luck. may fortune shine on you.

Not all of these ALL-IN DP promos are locked to a specific insurance provider. You can check with the dealer on this.

These ALL-IN DP promos are loans guaranteed by a dealer and their partner banks. They usually use selected insurance providers that they can make commissions with every sale via these promos.

Since the first year of maintenance is free (depende sa dealership right?) the difficult part would be keeping up with the monthly amortization and gas expenses right?

Alright. Malinaw na lahat sir. Hindi naman pala all bad yung all-in promos, mas malaki ang babayaran pag all-in pero if ang total cash out is not far from car loan then it's fine.

I see, so on top of the monthly amortization cost plus monthly gas expenses, i have to take into account PMS as well. Labas pa yung cost if may kailangan palitan sa kotse.

verify just how "free" that "free maintenance" is. i would ask, "how much would i be charged for...?"

    yespo.
monthlies, pms expenses, parking fees (who would have thought of parking and toll fees, if one were previously a pedestrian? heh heh.), fuel, increased trips to.. everywhere, with the requisite expenses for purchased and eaten items...
all these contribute to the expenses incurred, just because one owned a car.

Mali ako ng intindi LOL, as explained by Sir Qwerty, first 1000km and 5000km lang yung free everything else is paid.

When it comes to the monthly mortgage, mukang kakayanin naman namin, promoted si misis so mejo lumaki breathing room namin for monthly expenses.

I think yung matitipid ko sa monthly gas expenses ko from switching to Diesel mapupunta lang sa fund for the monthly PMS ni Toyota.

Minsan mga tao kasi pag nagustuhan bili agad ng bili, hindi nagpaplano in the future if kaya ba talaga.

Tsaka less stress kay misis habang nag bubuntis kung may sarili kami sasakyan, less things to go wrong with the pregnancy rin.

Juicecolored so much savings haha

Innova na lang kukunin ko, not the same league as the fortuner when it comes to "arrive" pero maganda parin naman yung Innova. thank you sirs.

Get a 2nd hand cheaper car first then sell it when the baby arrives and upgrade to a bigger car.

Unless you are already expecting, di pa natin sure kelan kayo magkakababy. When the baby comes, mas malaki pa gastos sa baby than the monthly of the car.

5 years ago, wife was pregnant with our eldest. Vios lang kinuha ko. We survived naman until the 2nd baby came along. When the 2nd arrived kasya pa naman kami with 1 yaya sa loob ng vios but i already saved some and bought a new innova, mostly because i thought i needed it.

To be honest, masyado malaki innova for the 4 of us (plus yaya).
