Okay. Just saw the unit again in the mall, the Haima7. Inspected it a little, but not that much, since we are in the mall. Asked about the parts, and the SA told me that Laus got a direct connection with Haima China, so parts if ever they are out of stock, is they can easily order. And they are saying that they don't need to wait for bulk requirements.

Also, regarding warranty if ever Haima Philippines closes down, Laus Group would still shoulder it. That's actually a given. I will review the agreement or contract or warranty guide of the car. They have those, right?

About the car, it's pretty well built. Nothing feels cheap. More of like the Japanese cars. Checked the switches, the dome light, the compartments, holders, nothing is substandard. Checked the engine bay, organized, check the covers, the hoses, and the like, pretty. What I didn't like is the battery. That is something to be replaced with a motolite after the 1yr warranty.

Tomorrow I am scheduled for a test drive. I have to see the power, the shift, the brake, the aircon, the lights, the ride comfort, handling, and how it is with rough roads.

Akshuli, Meron test yun bigbigcar.com ng Haima 3. Search mo nalang. The one who tested it is a forum member here as well.

    Goodluck.

yes, nabasa ko na halos lahat ata na pwedeng basahin about haima and haima7. Konti lang ang mga reviews or comments about it. Favorable reviews yes, pero walang direct review for the 7. Dami ding bad comments about chinese cars in general. But I have yet to see a thorough review of the 7. Parang napaka-rare nya sa internet. Parang di ata afford maginternet ng mga naka-haima. Ahaha!

    yes, maliit nga.
I think Laus Group should hire someone, na walang gagawin kundi sumagot sa mga forums. Ahaha! Although biased, but still someone who can answer questions.

Okay, just an update on my earlier test drive of the Haima7. Well, exceeded my expectations actually, or it's just that my expectations are too low? But the power is very adequate, it can do 40 km/h on 1st gear, not sure if it can go as high as 60, didn't try it, my REV is around 4.5K. Although that test drive vehicle is poorly maintained, I see that it still runs good.

Stick shifting is pretty regular, not amazing, not ugly. For me though, the only vehicle that is amazing in shifting is the Grand Livina. The Haima7's shifting feels the same as with the new Toyotas I have driven, Vios, Avanza, and Innova. Although I kinda like the clutch, is not too deep, and not too shallow, I think the Innova is too deep, and the Vios is too shallow, well, at least to those cars I drove, not sure with the new ones now.

I drove it around, trying to feel some body roll on sharp curves and sudden swerving, and I like it, it didn't move me much. Not really sure how to test drive handling, so maybe I missed something. Then I sat at the back while the SA is driving, suspension is pretty good. I am actually amaze how that ride is just so comfortable, on the same road I feel awful when I am driving the Frontier. Well, that's a given, pickups are not meant to be comfortable.

    The horn, meh...

I wonder why the dirty Haima7 that the SA brought here in the office didn't even bother me. Still looks good, and drives pretty well.

I am going to schedule another test drive, this time with my wife. Any tips on what I should do on the next test drive?

    Thanks!

I think you're pretty much sold to it. Although if really going Haima, I like the Freema better.

    Give a downpayment.

Kidding aside, you might want to try to run over bumps to see if the suspension is still working fine or if there are any rattles inside.

Actually, pagdating sa pictures sa internet, maganda talaga ang Freema, not until you see it personally.

I asked the SA kung ano yung preferred nya, kung yung Comfort or yung Deluxe, and suprisingly, I got an honest answer: "Comfort, since di naman ganun kalaki importance ng Reverse Sensors, tapos mainit sa Pinas for the leather seats, Audio Controls, not too hard to increase the volume on the panel itself, so okay yung Comfort" There's a Php30K price difference between the two, by the way.

Also, the aircon, parang 10 ata ang speed ng fan, the aircon is cold and hot, since it has a heater.

You guys should test drive it when you got the chance, parang nakakawala ng stigma ng mga Chinese Cars.

Will do that, the running over bumps, not the downpayment.
Although I did that earlier, at walang akong narinig ng langitngit, pero uulitin ko, at kelangan tahimik muna ang lahat.

We will decide by the end of this week, probably.

In fairness, pasado lagi ang haima sa crash test. Ewan ko lang sa 7 pero sa haima 3. OK na OK.

Isa sa mga supplier ko sa China OK din ang feedback sa Haima. Not biased kasi sabi nya Chery at Foton hindi daw eh :bwahaha:
