Depends on the car. Generally though I'd go for MT since the power and efficiency difference can really be felt for cars with such little engines. But if you don't mind slower performance and slightly higher consumption in exchange for a more comfortable drive in city traffic, then go for AT.
CVTs are great though since they don't have the consumption penalty of traditional ATs, sometimes even being more efficient than their MT counterpart. Thing is, the Mirage is the only sub-1.3L car with CVT, the rest still have old-school torque-converter ATs.

November 30th, 2014 09:27 AM #994A/T costs more than M/T. They may be slightly less fuel efficient than an M/T but the price difference can be used for other matters.
