For me I own both but a/t (with sportstronic mode) now is really-pretty good. You will forget m/t if you own (a/t) one this time.

A/T w/ paddle shifter, best of both. (Almost)
The Final Gear Ratio of A/T and M/T must be considered
(If fuel economy is being considered).

And the place & amount of time you will spend driving.
City/Hi-way.
If City (most of the time traffic, then I prefer a small car w/ A/T)
If mostly Hi-way, (Durable & Impact proven vehicle w/ M/T - more control, fun and requires more driver attention).

In the U.S. a lot of cars are automatics. Families have gone several generations without knowing how to drive a manual transmission. Dealerships rarely have stick shifts in stock bec. they don't sell. A ownership survey came out a year ago in the U.S. and Road & Track had an article. Subaru, VW and Porsche were the only U.S. manufacturers to have 50% of the buyers buy stick shifts. All other manufacturers were less than 8%.

kanyakanyang preferences at needs ang kinuconsider ng mga consumer/user ng cars kaya no need for battle.

lets make it more simple, cars were made for us people to transport conveniently thus people choose what can make their lives better.
Kahit na m/t or a/t yan as long as it performs as what you wanted ok na yan. :D

Kahit MT o AT gamit mo basta heavy traffic stress aabutin mo. Tapos malalaman mo lang pala ung reason kung bakit traffic kase dahil sa mga bus na inagaw na lahat ng lane sa edsa para magantay ng pasahero.

Dati I was an M/T lover pero nung nag-A/T ako ayoko na bumalik ng manual.

Nakwento nung kaibigan kong babae na nabibilib daw sakanya yung Amerikano niyang kaibigan kasi marunong daw siya magmanual, panay matic daw kasi sila sa states.

S mga tamad n city dwellers katulad ko, mas ok s akin ang matic, pero since limited ang budget ko, no choice but MT ako =p
