no offense taken. its just my opinion.

With the new technology AT for me is the best... clutchless manual transmission or paddle shifter...

(pero i really like it pag may sportronics kase you can select the gear kahit at)

on more thing, mas maporma magdrive pag mt.
Dati, ayaw ko rin sa A/T. Mas feel ko ang machine pag M/T.

Pero modern technology changed my mind. Saka mas matipid nga sa high speeds ang A/T dahil sa mas maliit ang gear ratio (well, at least for the Avanza).

Sa A/T na ako ngayon... hours of driving? Walang tigil, walang pagod!

parang mas malaki ang chances na mabangga ako sa automatic. why? after a few minutes of driving an A/T, i tend to get bored and start daydreaming, then i lose my concentration on the road. the next thing i know, muntik na ako mabangga. Kung sa manual kasi, mas fun to drive, and mas magcoconcentrate ako sa pagddrive. and yes, mas may control ka sa engine kung manual.

ok. sorry pre. kung sabagay kanya kanyang preference talaga. so sakin sana yung mga manufacturers dapat pag gumawa ng sasakyan dapat may choice ang buyer kung mt or at d lang puro at or puro mt. like yung mga new suv preference ko talaga manual pero ala atang manual na na suv except for everest. and one more thing between automatic and manual transmission i guess kung gusto mo ng comfort talaga and hasslefree driving go for automatic pero kung gusto mo great control over the vehicle (tulad ko control freak hehehe) then go for manual.

A/T No doubt is more comfortable.

Masmadami M/T cars dito sa pinas kasi masmadali i-maintain and mastipid sa gas. Kahit sa 2nd hand car market M/T cars are more sought after.

Pag brand new masmahal ang A/T model then after 5 years masmahal na ang MT variant.

Pero kung money is no object, go for A/T.

    Ako simple lang ang basihan.....

If the car will be used predominantly in Metro Manila with all these flyovers, multilevel parking lots, stop-and-go trafffic...and you will be the one driving ---my choice would be an AT.

Anywhere else, puede na MTesp. sa probinsya.

Of course, that is mostly for compact sedans and pick-ups as high-priced executive cars and SUVs have no MT option.

Admittedly, mas enjoy mag-drive ng MT.

Mabuti dalawang sasakyan ko pareho may option na manual at A/T isa 5-speed at isa naman 6-speed

this boils down to convenience, style, preference, maintenance costs, and practicality. depende..

me kung van/city car(1.5 below) - AT. because you want to enjoy the drive with your family.

if it a car, 2.0 up better manual because i bought that for my driving pleasure.

but now MT ako. 2.0 maxima ko at my soon to be mini asian-MPV.

my former delica and liteace are both 4wd matic..

just a tip: ATs are best bought if they're brand new. for a used model, check it thoroughly... mahal magpaayos ng AT than MT!

mas nejoy nga ang i-drive ang MT pag bago ka palang sa MT IMO.

maaliw aliw ka sa pag change ng gear and sa pag timpla ng clutch and gas.

pero in the long end youll get bored and hassle ang MT for me.

for us AT parin since FC is not a major issue for us (difference on FC of AT and MT).

  12. #152
think of the difference in FC between the MT and AT as "the price of convenience".

in the end as you got old, malamang you are wishing for an AT ride na and just keep your MT for your kids/sell it.

ako, i nevermind the low FC of my maxima, eventhough MT siya, matakaw sa gas, i think of it as the price of my enjoyment in driving.

    ^^ +1
Ang ayoko lang sa AT/CVT during long drive bka anytime bumigay alternator or battery, siguradong abala to.. MT excels during this scenario esp emergencies..

well pag utilitarian vehicle which hauls heavy objects, M/T talaga, Manuel you control your ride, automatic the transmission chooses for you, I like and I choose/prefer manual because both of your leg/feet are working.
I don't like A/T because according to my observation, nowadays many automatic cars, the driver is doing another thing while driving, like for example, texting, calling, using their cellular phones, which they are not to be done.

That part ain't exactly the fault of the transmission.

I have a cousin who used to be able to put on his uniform (including pants) and eat his breakfast while driving a manual transmission car...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

kaya dami nai-stroke e, konting pagod ng isang paa ayaw na agad. pansinin nyo pag na stroke karamihan patay kalahati ng katawan gandang exercise yan for free even pag may naka away ka malakas kang sisipa on both legs joke

what can you say on those who do not want to be bothered by the manual tranny cons then go the gym to have their work outs???

if you have the budget on the extra cost re maintenance then there's no debate about this. a matter of preference prevails.

    peace
