Savings of P2.7 per km for Mu-X

Going back to Innova, never pa ko nakakita sumayad sa steep parking spaces or parking ramps. Imo mas sulit Innova vs Mu-X. Mas mabilis mo pa mababawi vs if kukuha ng Mu-X. Nasa 1.2+M na lang bnew.
For city driving, isnt the rush closer to 6km/l to 6.5km/l?

But i agree with the recommendation that the if budget is restricted, then innova might be the better choice if closer to the price point of rush with some creature comforts. The base mux is practically bare so that might be a deal breaker when some expected basic things are stripped out.

If test drive is possible, it might be best to do that.

If your mileage per year is also due to a lot of highway driving, innova or mux will be the better choice, not only for diesel, but better transmission, greater efficiency on the highway and less constrained by an anemic gasoline engine when loaded.

    My two cents.

Good luck in the purchase TS.

Edit: the rubber on the innova would also be cheaper to replace per set compared to the mux when it comes to maintenance, especially given your annual distance covered.

At 30k kms per year, the mux rubber might last you max 2 years, the rush, max 1 year (maybe 1.25 years as those non 8 ply street tires usually last 30k kms to 35k kms.. Depends on what your will comes with), the innova should last about 40k kms (if im not mistaken. I cant remember how many kms our old innova tires lasts before replacing).

    Current options:
    Toyota Rush 1.5 E A/T at 1M
    Isuzu MU-X LS A/T at 1.3M

    Car usage would be:
20,000 to 30,000 KM Per Year.
Will keep the car for at least 10 years, estimate up to 15 years.
Will not be selling the car afterwards, ipapadala nalang sa province.

Factors to consider sa cost of ownership:
    Vehicle Price
    Maintenance Cost
    Expected Repairs
    Insurance
    Registration
    Fuel Consumption

Please help me decide. Thanks in advance guys!
Ako nagasta ko pa lang sa Mux bluepower 2017 ko in terms of maint eh P16k sa casa (3 PMSES na yun, 1k, 5k, 10k) , tapos parang 10k pa dun libre meron ako Isuzu Coupon eh as freebies

Then fuel average of 1.5-2k per month lang ako pero do take note I only go around Ortigas, BGC makati, and i have 2 other alternate diesel cars to go around every week

Sa insurance pala ako gumasta ng malaki, naka almost 60k na ko for 2 years

Ang ok kasi sa isuzu walang keme, na kesyo kelangan ng FS oil daw , they recommend regular diesel oil or semi synth lang

And I dont gas to any of the big 3, Shell, caltex, Petron. They clean their fuels so much na sobrang pino na diesel lakas tuloy maubos

Not really lead pero yun old school diesel sigruo boss, ptt, seaoil, total mas mura pa

    ——

Ang Major down lang sa Isuzu MuX is yun magpapa service ka na, minsan katabi mo Isuzu elf or other big Isuzu trucks na may mga sharp edge, kakatakot kasi pwede talaga magasgasan ang MUx mo pag nagkamali sa maneobra tapos super sikip pa sa casa

Minsan nga nakikita ko ibang MUX ng ibang owners naka park tapos sa taascnya Isuzu elf, gumagamit kasi isuzu service nun motorized lift parking to save space

And also, dont expect too much sa service lounge.

Diba tulad sa Honda and Hyundai when I used to PmS their may mga caffe latte, capucchino dispenser pa sila sosy

Tapos diba ang palabas sa big screen tv sa ford casa or even Honda, movies talaga Avengers, marvel ganun

Sa Isuzu Service lounge Eat Bulags, show time or kung hapon ka , yun mga drama sa abs cbn na reruns, yun sila claudine barreto at rico yan pa ata yun last time Na service ko

wigo is not a real toyota, either (whatever that means).
    yet it's selling like hotcakes.
I tried the avanza and rush before. Walang pinagkaiba. And toyota is marketing it as an SUV. Eh mpv lang naman talaga sya.

Anyway, back to topic, since puro DIY lang naman malamang gawin ni TS, pwede na diesel. Madami naman mekaniko marunong sa diesel. Matibay pati engines nito

7km/l is a conservative assumption only, if it gets even worse mileage, that further strengthens my point of going diesel.

If it's strictly Rush or Mu-X, then Mu-X. From what I understand, he wants the SUV look hence these two.

It's just so hard to recommend the Mu-X base cos there's the Innova. Imagine Mu-X getting DRLs and 8" touchscreen, but no power side mirrors nor rear windshield wiper.

I'll take the Rush over the base mu-X just for the extra 5 airbags and standard stability control. Personally I find the mu-X's dimensions quite tricky to drive especially in our provincial roads.

Casa PMS price is around 5-7K every 5K KM for the older 2.5, though they claim the new RZ4E is cheaper to maintain and requires less consumable parts.
