As per our survey in FCP, mostly on Fiesta Sports (1.6L) units manufactured from 2011-2012 but not all. There are a few 2013 models reported though. The new Fiestas with the Aston Martin grill has the updated TCM already. The Fiesta Ecoboost was released locally 2nd quarter of 2014. So far, no reports yet of TCM failure among Ecoboost owners in FCP.
The Fiesta Ecoboost is efficient if you drive it passively. On the highway, it can do 20 km/L if you cruise at 80kmh or 15km/L if you cruise at 100-120kmh. It will not be that efficient if you make the most of the torque available and let that tachometer needle rise till overboost (5k rpm). Believe me, that tachometer needle can easily rise to redline if you have a lead foot.

Mirage will do 10-12 kpl in city driving, about 14-15 kpl for mixed and 20-21 kpl for pure highway driving.

Torn between mirage and celerio un bayaw ko. But I think un mirage pipiliin nya dahil sa badge at siguro sa porma. Pero sa australian review between those cars, anlayo ng score nila. Mataas un score ng celerio because of space & handling.

Kahit itama mo yung presyo ng gas and diesel from 44 and 35 (as in the previous post) to 38 and 26, malayo pa rin ang tipid ng Mirage sa overall running costs because it's much much cheaper.
Of course, the Accent is much more powerful and has more space, but if ownership costs lang ang tinitingnan, lamang ang Mirage.
Dapat laging apples-to-apples comparison. Accent will not get 16 km/L in the driving conditions that only gives the Mirage 8 km/L.
My girlfriend's dad's Accent gets around 12 km/L in light to moderate traffic (usual route is Fairview to Quezon City Hall and Manila City Hall). With the same traffic I'm sure the Mirage can do 12 km/L as well, maybe 10 km/L at the very least.

1. Malayo presyo - base Accent is 728k. Base Vios is 592k.
2. Vios parts are cheaper to source outside casa. Same engine since 1998 (Echo) so all mechanics know how to fiddle with it.
3. Accent turbo is finicky - as with all turbos, you need to observe proper cooldown and correct maintenance intervals to prolong the turbo's life. The Vios is just a run it till it dies kind of car. In other words, mas bagay sa balasubas na pagalaga ng kotse ng taxi driver ang Vios.
