The Vios got 13.1 km/L, yung Accent 16.7 km/L. Sabay lang takbo namin (convoy nga eh) so same traffic and road conditions.

Mas matipid talaga Accent CRDi sa Vios and ang layo pa ng power. Cheap lang talaga ng dating and lambot ng suspension.

Consumo sa highway is roughly 1.25pesos per km more on the vios than the accent assuming 44pesos gas at 35 ang diesel...if the microcars (mirage/celerio/picanto/etc) can log 21km/l, they can match the cost per km of the accent at 16.7km/l at roughly 2.1pesos/km.

Now assuming the microcars just match the accent's 16.7km/l, the microcars would cost 50cents more for each km driven. The cheapest among the ones listed is the celerio at going at 542k...the accent hb at is 236k more at 778k. Now for just the initial cost, you will have to travel around 472,000km to break even. At 150km/day, 20days a month...that would be 13yrs! Just to break even! This is maintenance cost nonwithstanding and syempre assuming fuel price remains constant.

So kung cost of ownership over several years mukhang masmatipid pa microcars kahit matipid sa fuel si accent if under 10yrs lang which is most likely the case.

Anyway, it was mentioned na 650k limit, brand new, at hatchback...so i guess accent labas na sa choices...

Mirage/celerio/picanto/etc na lang...Initial cost at fuel consumption di na siguro nagkakalayo bet mirage and celerio. Picanto mamalakas ata sa gas iirc at masmahal siya ng 100k more than the celerio. Sagad sa 650k budget. Sa maintenance cost na lang magkakatalo dahil mukhang di naman particular sa porma. At yung laging advice ng mga guru na magtest drive...
First things first.. Ano ba tAlaga Ang actual real time fuel consumption ng Micro cars? Mixed highway and city driving.... 22km per liter? For a 1.0 car.... Real time na talaga yung 22km per liter...?

Just ask my byenan... Actual FC nya using a mirage... Office to work - mixed city and a little highway south area-- Sabi nya more or less 42kms. One way or 84kms. Back and forth.. 350 pesos daw kinakarga every time.. Or kung 500 pesos it last daw 1.5 na byahe...

Or kung tama Ang km.'s travelled nya--- php350 / php34= 8.29kpl-- parang Ang layo naman on paper... Sa 21kpl...

Compare sa 16km per liter ng accent... Real time driving condition

Accent kasi 54km per liter on paper...

Mahirap naman mag compute tayo based on paper yung isa naman real time driving condition...

And we should also compute it at present diesel prices... Wag diesel and gasoline price Nung mataas pa Ang prices... Present prices Ang computation...

Do we have anyone here actual driving condition... FC ng mirage...

Assuming na tama Ang 8.29kpl Ang mirage
    And Ang accent NASA 16kpl..

    120kms. Per day x 20 nalang=
    2400kms. Per month

    Mirage
    Divide it by 8.29kpl.. = 289li X php34= P9826

    Accent
    2400 / 16 = 150li x 25.50= P3825

    Difference of = Php 6,001 monthly x 12
    Php72,000 yearly savings...
236,000/72,000= 3.2 years bawi mo na...

42km and i would assume zero highway? kasi di naman gumagalaw? 12km highway is not the same as nlex highway towards bulacan. which is free flowing.
