Iwan na natin si vios. Heheh. Unless may mga naka yaris dito.
    Sa PMS:
Mirage every 10k. Accent every 5k
Mirage 10k OCI. Accent every 5k change oil filter + top up, every 10k full oil change
Mirage 3 liters oil. Accent 5.5 liters full oil change.

Just so you have an idea of the Vios' FC compared to the Accent hatch - last summer bumyahe kami Manila to Naga, convoy kami Vios 1.3 AT and Accent 1.6 CRDi MT. 3 yung sakay ng Accent, 5 sa Vios, parehong puno ng gamit.

The Vios got 13.1 km/L, yung Accent 16.7 km/L. Sabay lang takbo namin (convoy nga eh) so same traffic and road conditions.

Kung first time car owner ka, go for gasoline.

Hyundai accent diesel maintenance is costly di lng nababanggit dito. The TS will be going for maintenance every 2 months because of 120km/day

6 times a year?

and yung 2 old school diesels ko calibration or cleaning ng noozles... every 2 years... or 75,000 kms.

Improtante kasi sa diesel engine is to put GOOD QUALITY FUELS... yung ibang diesels kasi na binebenta sa de bote... mapapansin nyo mapula...

All diesel sold in gasoline stations (including generics) is ADO. Difference lang naman ng generic sa branded is yung additives which comprises less than 1% of the entire volume. Heck, some oil companies sell the exact same product to their wholesalers (who then supply to generics) as they do to their retail stations.

    If we do the maths...
Consumo sa highway is roughly 1.25pesos per km more on the vios than the accent assuming 44pesos gas at 35 ang diesel...if the microcars (mirage/celerio/picanto/etc) can log 21km/l, they can match the cost per km of the accent at 16.7km/l at roughly 2.1pesos/km.

Now assuming the microcars just match the accent's 16.7km/l, the microcars would cost 50cents more for each km driven. The cheapest among the ones listed is the celerio at going at 542k...the accent hb at is 236k more at 778k. Now for just the initial cost, you will have to travel around 472,000km to break even. At 150km/day, 20days a month...that would be 13yrs! Just to break even! This is maintenance cost nonwithstanding and syempre assuming fuel price remains constant.

So kung cost of ownership over several years mukhang masmatipid pa microcars kahit matipid sa fuel si accent if under 10yrs lang which is most likely the case.

Anyway, it was mentioned na 650k limit, brand new, at hatchback...so i guess accent labas na sa choices...

Picanto mamalakas ata sa gas iirc at masmahal siya ng 100k more than the celerio.

Great computation - it puts into perspective the fact that at the end of the day, SRP still counts more than the FC and engine type if you're computing overall costs.

Yung iba kasi, basta daw diesel matipid. Lahat nalang ng sasakyan gusto diesel.
