A battery simply prolongs the time you can play with the engine off. If your engine is running, your alternator is your source of power. The only time you'll tap into the battery for power when the engine is on is if a hard bass drop hits and your voltage goes down to battery 12V levels.
The difference between batteries such as Stinger with our everyday Motolite is that they're designed for different applications. The main difference is that Stingers are designed to be drained and recharged frequently. Do that to a Motolite and you'll severely cut the lifespan of your Motoline battery.
For what it's worth, I'm just using an Amaron battery if that'll give anybody peace of mind as to which battery should they get. My batteries don't last long though.. my last one just lasted 2 1/2 years. I kinda attributed this since they're being drained at times (especially on days when I want to crank my volume up). Ok na ako sa 2 1/2 years rather than paying double for Stinger battery that will last probably 1.5x longer.
You'll both be receiving PMs
In any case, I usually tell people to meet me in Banawe since.. it's the car enthusiast mecca. I'm usually free on the evenings (7pm onwards) although I don't really mind making time during the day or noon.
Or if you can wait, you can always find me in Tsikot's EB (http://tsikot.com/forums/car-shows-a...ml#post2275246)
Had my audio set up by mickeys. JL audio c2-650 seps, infinity 6502ix coax for rear fill, RF JPS 1008 underseat sub, jbl gto 804 ampli plus deadeners on front doors. Went over my budget but couldn't be happier, parang lumulutang sounds sa loob ng sasakyan ko. Stuck in traffic? Nooooo problem : )
Thanks jhnkvn for bearing with a newbie :bowako
Sir inputs bout these amps?
Hifonics Brutus BRX640.4
Precision Power S580.4
Precision Power BK800.4
Cadence FX2400.4
Thanks guys.
Cadence Flash FXA2400-4
MB Quart OA800.4
Precision Power BK520.4
I asked around kasi dito sa mga shops and for 4000 they're just offering mga "Q-amp" brands.
Cadence 2400 = 150 x 4 / 600w x 2 bridged (4ohm)
MB quart OA800.4 = 100 x 4 / 400w x 2 bridged (4ohm)
Precision Power Black Ice 520.4 = 95 x 4 / 260w x 2 bridged (4ohm)
Thanks guys.
Precision Power Black Ice.
You won't see them in the Philippines... Even then, PH prices are priced exorbitantly when the products come from the United States.
I don't like the Cadence because they publish peak numbers. I don't like the MB Quartz because they're marketing their topology as an "SQ" topology which there isn't.
The difference between 95W to 150W is simply 2 decibels. Stop placing too much emphasis on wattage. Place more emphasis on speaker efficiency -- driver sensitivity if you want something loud.
Yes it is. Just make your subwoofer more efficient. A subwoofer's performance is way dependent on its enclosure more than anything else.
I can get a subwoofer, throw it in a ported 3cu.ft enclosure then feed it 300W to beat the exact same subwoofer but in a sealed 1cu.ft enclosure and feed it 1000W of power and still the 300W will be louder. Given this, it's best to simply optimize the design of an enclosure more than feeding it more power (which translates into lesser fuel efficiency btw)
