Hi guys hingi lang sana ako ng feedback/review sainyo regarding Morel Primo 10" and JL Audio W3V3
I'm currently using a Hertz Energy 250.5 on a sealed box driven by Steg DST401D
I want to know first if i would notice the difference if i change my subwoofer from my choices, thanks mga idol

imo, if you intend to use the same sealed enclosure and you just change the sub baka minimal lang din ang difference. kung magpalit ka into a new enclosure designed specifically sa morel primo o jl w3v3 then malamang noticeable ang difference.

Sa tamang enclosure the JL 10w3v3 will out perform the primo. RMS pa lang and linear excursion makikita mo na mas lamang ang JL sa mga choice mo. But then car audio is subjective, there is no right or wrong choice of brand as long as it is installed properly. Sa iba, the Primo 10 might be good enough but sa iba naman mas prefer ang JL 10w3v3. Kailangan mo rin mag dagdag ng mono amp if you decide to go with the JL na choice mo.

Any Stock HU ay pwedeng kabitan ng aftermarket subwoofer and amp. If walang low level out for the sub from your stock HU, bili ka lang ng LOC(line output converter) to send signal from stock HU to the amplifier though marami na mga bagong amplifier ngayun that accepts either high or low level inputs.

Morel primo vs jl w3v3

Asked some audio shops about the two, mas malambot daw laro ng bass ng JL, more SQ daw according to them

Went with JL because I also heard it would be easier to sell 2nd hand in the future

Mickey posted one on their FB page. The amp was installed under one of the front seats. They also replaced the front seps and deadened the doors. I personally can't tell if they used a LOC or one of those new-fangled amps that D3nber mentioned but someone with more experience may be able to deduce from the pic of the cables going into the amp.

building an old school setup for a restored lancer boxtype and was looking for some suggestions from the experts

have a few components already, so was hoping for some input on the missing ones

Headunit: Pioneer KEH-P3700 (used) or Rockford Fosgate RFX-8030 (new old stock) - both cassette players

The display works perfectly for the Pioneer, but no sound comes out when a test speaker was connected. Didn't get to play around with the settings yet when I tested, so it's possible it's still working. I preferred to use the Pioneer (to bring back memories of the KEH-P8250 I had before), but the RF head unit does have more features and looks even more old school

Additional source: Sony Discman D-142CK Megabass (used) + original Sony Plate Arm/Gooseneck (new old stock)
4-ch amp: Rockford Fosgate R400-4D
Mono amp: Rockford Fosgate R500X1D

Still missing:
Rear: Deciding between 2 pairs of JBL GTO 939's or Infinity Kappa 693.11I, unless there are other suggestions for the same (or lower) price points? Would've wanted to find old JBL T545's or T595's, but looks tough to find (or too expensive)
Front: Decided not to install fronts as I don't want to mess with the newly reupholstered sidings
Sub: Was looking at either a single JL Audio 12W3v3-4 or Kicker Solobaric S12L7
Expecting to have the doors and trunk lid treated as well (knowing the boxtype, will definitely vibrate)

The car will only be used at most a few times a month, so really just a toy, but I do want that oomph. Appreciate any input, particularly on the rears and the sub.

delayed response but puede naman. most sq way is to use a dsp to connect to the amp and control the settings...

thinking of replacing my front seps and looking at getting a focal 165 f or 165fx.. appreciate advise if its worth upgrading.. or can you recommend alternatives for a max budget of 28k.

i think worth it sir. with your current hu, bit10 dsp and amps, swak yan to power yung 165f or 165fx. with your budget, add ka konti and pwede rin yung older K2 power series es165k. you get better sq and headroom.

i have the 165f so far ok naman. di ko pa napakinggan yung 165fx, magkaiba lang yata yung material ng speakers. you can't go wrong with any of them, but if nagtitipid ka, go with 165f then yung difference i-allot mo na lang perhaps sa cables, deadening, tuning/installation.

may current set up ka na nga pala so yung FS na lang palitan then re-tuning. better siguro go for the higher 165fx na lang para di ka na mag-isip later what if kung yun ang upgrade ko lols!

No sir, before on stock di naman ganito, it just started when I replaced the stock speaker.
