audio set-up for beginners [continued]

Hi. I would like to ask if there is a chance that a subwoofer and an amplifier can be installed on a stock HU on a 2017 Mazda 3 non-Bose unit? Thanks.

Mickey posted one on their FB page. The amp was installed under one of the front seats. They also replaced the front seps and deadened the doors. I personally can't tell if they used a LOC or one of those new-fangled amps that D3nber mentioned but someone with more experience may be able to deduce from the pic of the cables going into the amp.
