gud am. tnx for the advice.

la pa kong brand or model preference im just looking around palang.

the bazzoka i saw is about 2900-3000. e2 daw specs
• 5.5" woofer with amplifier
• Size: Φ 165mm×400mm
• Frequency Response:48Hz-6KHz
• RMS Power Range 90W
• Peak Power Handling: 300W
• Impedance: 4 ohm
• Carton Size: 62×47×42.5 cm

3 way n ng blapunkt 6x9 gt series (d ko alam exact model name or number)

or

btw the 3 way cost around 3-3.5k and the 2 way 2.6k

how about a sony cdx v5800 for a HU?

baka me iba kang recommended na better brands/model or store na ok yung prices, if possible yung nag iinstall na din.

BlackOmen,

PBWY.

I just got some questions if you dont mind me asking.

1. Usually what type of music are you listening to?
2. Easy listening or hardcore listening?
3. May I know at around what range of budget to shoot in to?
4. What car to do the setup with? Compact, Sedan, AUV, SUV (Small, Mid, or Full size), Van?

The setup will depend on the answer of these questions.

As for shop, I always go to TEAM Cars at Banawe. Its at 30-A Banawe cor. P. Florentino St., QC. This shop is beside Department of Labor HQ near Quezon Ave. Their price is reasonable. Not taga. The owner, Kerwin, is very accomodating and will really give advises or suggestions if he see it not fit or not ok. Most important of all, malinis ang trabaho! That is why I keep on going back to that shop. They cater Alpine, Sony, Blaupunkt, Pioneer for HU. Alpine, Sony, Blaupunkt, Pioneer, DLS, Lightning Audio, JBL, Boston Acoustics for Speakers. Alpine, Sony, Blaupunkt, Pioneer, Lightning Audio, Kicker, Rockfort Fosgate, JBL for amps. and some other minor brands. For brands na wala sila, he can help source it up to wala talagang mahanap.

Will wait for your reply on my queries.

Thanks!

Hi nat2x,

PBWY!

Kaya lang the sound produced medyo mahina. So I guess its really up to the listener na. If ok na sa listener yung tunog then go na. But there are better brands. (No offend meant.)

Sa akin naman, actually nanghihinayang ako sa DLS mo if to be coupled with NBN. Kasi magandang speakers yung DLS.

Thanks!

Hi BlackOmen,

PBWY!

Hmmm...

For HU, I suggest you go for Pioneer nalang. At least mas kilala na and packed with features.

DEH-P4850MPH
Features:
WAV file playback
iPod® adaptor ready
BMX (Bitmetric qualizer)
EEQ
5-mode preset equalizer
1-mode custom preset equalizer
3-band parametric equalizer
Bass Boost
2-way crossover: HPF/LPF
3-mode selectable loudness
Selectable FIE (Front Image Enhancer)
Rotary Volume
Direct Sub Drive
1 RCA preout: selectable (rear/subwoofer)

OR

DEH-P5850MPH
Features:
Pure blue dot-matrix OEL (Organic EL) display
WAV file playback
iPod® adaptor ready
BMX (Bitmetric qualizer)
EEQ
5-mode preset equalizer
1-mode custom preset equalizer
3-band parametric equalizer
EQ-EX
2-way crossover: HPF/LPF
3-mode selectable loudness
Rotary Volume
Direct Sub Drive
2 RCA preouts: selectable (front + subwoofer / front + non-fading)
level indicator

I'll check on these two unit's price and will let you know.

For the speakers, a pair of 2 way na 6 1/2" (if 6" is the diameter to fit the front panel) seperates. Para mas solid ang tunog. Blaupunkt or JBL are ok for this.

For the subs naman, do you really want it now? Kasi I'll suggest na you go for HU and seps muna then future na idagdag ang subs kasi it will be nice that you spend the money for a good pair of seperates dahil yan yung talagang listening scores. Subs are for support ng lows lang. If your seps are good, it can produce a good low sound na din but of course not the low as low as a sub can do. Pero syempre, the better the seps the better the clarity also. Actually I will suggest more on a 4 channel amplifier (if i recall correctly and if the price didnt change, JBL is at around 6,000) nga e to power your seps as well as your rear speakers para it will be capable to produce sounds to it full capacity.

But if you really want the subs now, try the Blaupunk under the seat active sub or Pioneer's one. The Bazooka on the other hand, I got a feedback naman from a friend of mine. Nung narinig nya, hindi masyadong solid yung tunog. Medyo kalat. Although the bass is there naman.

This is just an opinion, I think if you add 5k more on the budget, you can have a good system with good brands. I will inquire the prices at the shop where I always go to and will let you know the price.

Glad to help and give you a contenting and delightful sound setup.

Hope this helps. Let me know.

Thanks!

For the two Blaupunkt models you've mentioned, may I know kung anong series sila? Is it GT, OD, TH, TS, or Velocity series? Please advise.

Hi cyrusblutrooper,

PBWY!

Just a couple of questions if you dont mind.

1. What type of sound are you after? Clarity? Super bass? or Best of both worlds?
2. Do you really want bass?
3. What type of music do you usually listens to?
4. What are the current units you have? Is the CD Changer MP3 playable (this is to see if it is compatible still to new HU, because it might go to waste)?
5. RF Amp na 5.1. Does it mean it have 5 channels? Maybe at the back or sides of the amp, there is the model number? If there is, please list so that we can make use of its full potential. Sayang kasi its RF pa naman.

Please advise.

Thanks!

hello poringdrops,

ang gusto ko sigurong set up ay yung best of both worlds, kasi may time na hip hop ang gusto ko may time naman senti ako, kahit rey valera songs dumadaan na gustong gusto ko.

bass, ok, para pag hip hop ang type pwede kung e crank it up.

my HU DEH-P4750MP and my CD changer is a sony but i doubt it will play mp3s bad trip nga minsan, tumatalon o nag error and CD changer ko baka madumi na o ang mga CDs ang may problema.

BTW, FYI naka install na yung HU, CD changer with stock speakers of trooper (4 or 6 speakers, i really dont have an idea).

TIA

Hi cyrusblutrooper,

PBWY!

It seems that the amplifier is a good and powerful one. Great!

Go to a shop and let the amp be installed first.

Since it is with 5 channels:
2 channels will be used for your front speakers
2 channels will be used for your rear speakers
1 channel will be for subwoofer

The thing is if the power output of the amplifier does not match the stock speakers like the amplifier overpower the speakers, that is the time you need to change the speakers to an rms and max power matching the amplifier.

If you are no longer contented with your current speakers and want to change it to a high end one with better sound in both clarity and mid range, then by all means do get a new separate speakers (this is a pair of speakers with a tweeter for high frequency output of sounds and a woofer for mid low frequency output of sounds and a crossover which is the unit that regulates the frequency of high and mid frequency so that the sound produced out of the speakers are clean and crisp and correct for the speaker).

A DLS speaker brand is good. This is of the same level as the Infinity. A pair of these range from 6,000 to 7,500.

A more clarity one will be Boston Acoustics Pro Series which will cost at around 20,000 to 30,000 pair est. (I am still checking on the price of this one.) Last time I inquired, its 24,000 if I recall correctly.

For a subwoofer, I am currently using a 12" Boston Acoustics Pro Series matched to a Kicker 800.2 Class D Amplifier and I LOVE THE BASS! The time I install this sub with amp, it already cost me PhP 35,000 and that was in year 2003 so price now might differ a bit. You can go for a BA sub also or a Kicker or RF or any other fancy brands.

For HU, if you are still contented with the 4750MP, then no need to change them at all. However if a CD changer is of your liking, then I would suggest that you get a new Pioneer CD Changer that can also play MP3 as well and hook it to the current HU.

I will inquire of the prices this week and will get back to you. Since you've mentioned mid to high end will be ok with you then I'll inquire good brands and will let you know the prices so that you can estimate the amount to budget. A rough estimate will be around 50,000. Will know the prices first then will let you know.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Glad to help.

Thanks!
