car is MB260e
ok, separates for the front it is
ok, coaxials for the rearI'll research on the size na lang. wala sa manual eh
ok, i'll get a 4ch amp. I guess you're right, para future-proof na din.
Re: subs, i'll have to talk my dad into it. Nanghihinayang kasi yun sa space ng trunk eh.
Napansin ko sa mga set-ups, usually yung amp nakakabit sa front seps and yung iba walang rearfills. Is that really the suggested setup if SQ? I guess this doesn't apply if boomboom right?
ah i see. So that means, kahit sa rear, ok lang separates. So this means may tweeters din diba? But isn't it that tweeters are for higher frequencies, and supposedly sa rearfills, lows dapat? Tama ba?
Uy ilovedetailing thanks sa patience ha? Ako na lang yata ang tsikoteer na walang alam sa car audio setups eh. pero i'm getting there hehe.. thanks for your help!

Hooking up your iPod requires another gadget... Either a radio transmitter or possibly a tape deck insert.
Personally I'd try to use my existing HU if it's still working and give decent output.

bigsmooth:
anybody with info if it would be possible for an iPod equipped with an iTrip radio transmitter to be used with an old Becker stereo (1971 model).
Johan Limcangco
The i-trip transmits the ipod audio via FM radio-waves. So just tune to a vacant FM frequency, program the i-pod to transmit at that frequency -- and there you go.

Technically, the iTrip will work, as in may tunog. But masama yung tunog. Lakas ng static. If you really want to go with a wireless/fm modulation solution, get a Monster iCarPlay. works like the iTrip but (1) less static because mas malakas yata yung transmitter (I have one, may konting static pa rin but a LOT less than the iTrip) and (2) it comes with a lighter plug so it charges your iPod while you're listening to it. The downside? Mas mahal. Doble yata yung price.
HTH!

If you have the extra cash, sell your HU, upgrade to an HU with an iPod adapter for me this provides the best sound quality. Expensive tho.

the car audio novice is back hehe!
question, let's say I have a HU which has 2 pairs of pre-outs (front and rear), and i have a 4ch amplifier. I'll connect the front pre-out to 2 of the 4 channels in the amp. Is it ok to connect the rear pre-outs to the remaining 2 channels on the amp, then connect it to a subwoofer (bridged)? Or dapat sa sub-out lang talaga?
