Thanks for the tips guys. Emailed Joying and unfortunately they say they don't have anything that can drive a second display at the back.

April 5th, 2017 03:00 AM #58Low budget buyer here so I settled for a 7 incher with a Rockchip chipset, which is a Generic unit with code RK-A701. Downside is that it's only 1G RAM but so far, no hiccups even when I run Spotify, Waze and another 3rd party application simultaneously. Bought it from an online store with free delivery (L) and cost me around 6.5k and installed it myself on my Accent. Left a 2mm gap at the sides of my 2-din panel but remedied it with black foam to hide the internals of my dash (unnoticeable to most people but not to the finicky me). Here are my observations:
PROS
- product description says it ships with Kitkat but mine shipped with Lollipop
- Audio quality and loudness is surprisingly very good, at least for my standards. Can directly drive my crystal seps w/o noticeable distortion/noise even on louder volumes.
- Device-only GPS reception is VERY GOOD if not EXCEPTIONAL. Initial lock attempt only took 2 seconds. Tested using Waze, google maps and a GPS test application. Placed the receiver at the top right portion of my dash. Sputtered metallic full front tint not interfering at all. GPS receiver/antennae is included in the sales package.
- Has a LOT of input/output options as follows:
- 3 usb ports (2 at the back, 1 infront) and a usb slave which is similar to a motherboard pin layout to activate unit as a media or external storage, also useful for usb debugging and OS mods
- Has 2 external composite video outputs for headrest or ceiling mounted monitors. The composite video external outputs are only 480i but should be enough for 7 or even 10 inch screens. Display output is optimized for video playback and screens will remain in video mode during playback even if main monitor switches to home screen or reverse cam mode, as long as the video app or aux/video input is still in use.
- Rear and front camera input. Auto switch when gear is put in reverse just like the other HU's with this feature. Can be used for built in DVR application
- DVR inputs via USB cams also supported using built in DVR application
- FR/FL, RR/RL preamp output with separate subwoofer out. Never tested for voltage/power since I don't have an external amp.
- Composite video input with audio (AUX 2). Great for TV plus or other aftermarket ISDB-T tuners
- 3.5 mm front aux input (AUX 1)
- has provisions for both Steering Wheel controls and CANBUS
- bluetooth pairing for both phone calls and audio playback is very simple
- WLAN reception is average to good, was able to test 10m away from my home AP without problems
- Has mirror link function for both android and airplay. Tested working for both platforms but the android mirror link is a little fidgety to set-up. Airplay quite easy to setup. You can use the touch screen to control your phone on both but expect a little delay (in ms) if you use the screen which I believe is normal for these setups
- Can read my 1TB 2.5" USB3 external HDD without hiccups. Can play 1080p videos smoothly using default player. Has native MKV support but no subtitle support but then again, there's VLC.
Now for the CONS
- 1GB RAM only
- 16GB internal memory but you will need to repartition it since it only allocated 1GB for the system memory, which will need root access. I partitioned mine to leave out only 512mb for the "internal memory" and the rest went to system memory. Anyways, you may use several external storage devices to replace your internal memory.
- Waze will appear as "incompatible" when attempted to install from play store so no option to install. Workaround is to export the apk from a working phone then install using USB.
- Bluetooth only works for phone and audio playback and not for file transfers nor debug mode so it won't connect to bluetooth OBD readers. Workaround is to instead get a WIFI OBD reader, which works seamlessly for TORQUE or other OBD apps (just like apple devices when it comes to OBD connectivity)
- Limited options to root the device but managed to root it using Kingroot
- A lot of system menu options in android are hidden. Workaround is to install shortcut master.
- Home and back buttons are not of the soft-touch type. Both are spring-loaded, similar to the mute/power button via the volume knob.
- Item ships from overseas with earliest ETA of 21 days. HOWEVER, mine arrived after 10 days so I'm not really complaining since shipping is free anyways
Overall, I'm very happy with it, for its price of 6.5k TAX inclusive with free shipping Here's how the device looks like, including the home screen. :

It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
