Funny enough, the only time I use a QD to actually "clean" a car is on the hood and the trunk lid, I can't stand if those two parts are dirty.

Gah, I wanna try the Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid *throws off Collinite off the list* Extinct bird juice here I come!
I sometimes use Ultima Waterless Wash to clean the hood and roof (no trunk on my car ) if it isn't too dirty. Completely soak the panel, then do two passes with an MF towel, never re-using a face once I've done a pass. I can get 8 passes from an MF towel (folded in four, then in half again), and would need around 30+ passes for hood and roof, so I use four to five towels. That's the only time I use a "QD" for cleaning - like you, I despise seeing the flat horizontal panels dirty (I also really dislike the water spotting you get if you let rain water dry).

Go, bili na :D What I really like about it is that it gives both a carnauba depth and glow, as well as a sealant reflectiveness and shine - so it works with all colors. I'm currently trying out Blackfire Wet Diamond on my car, and while it has a nice darkening effect and has good depth, it isn't as reflective as the SNH. The BFWD is really, really slick, though - leaves the car feeling almost oily

Yung kay Dave KG at Detailing World? Read that, medyo weird cause he was getting worse durability than other people. Still, Collinite durability is pretty hard to beat talaga - but what the heck, I can't really go without reapplying a wax every month, so I suppose it doesn't really matter that much to me Besides, there's just something nice about having at least one boutique wax :D Currrently have BFWD on the car, and while initially I thought it wasn't very reflective, just had a look today (after it had completely cured), and it is soooooo wet-looking. Also darkens the car nicely - bagay sa kulay ng kotse natin

Yan ba yung galing kay master? Anong pads and liquids ba yung kasama with the DA? I'm personally eyeing the Meg's G110v2 - they now have it back in stock after they pulled it out for the last month or two, I believe to fix the power cord issue it had; so hopefully walang nang problema dun.

Can't deny yung looks ng dodo juice. hehe. Although I'd like to see a side-by-side comparison between BFWD and 915 - both of these products can give zymol and swissvax a run for their money.

yup eto yung galing kay master - came with 4 pads: 6.5 (or 7?) in Lake Country cutting, light cutting, polishing, and light polishing/finishing pads. Also got Meg's Ultimate compound and SwirlX as my starter correction kit.

the meg's DA is nice with the forced rotation action... and the 220V compatibility. The issue is the price... but if money's no object... hehe.

Next on the list is a rotary buffer.

I'll buy the 110 volts version from the US, then ship over here, along with the pads - mas sulit pa din kung ganun, even with shipping and AVR, hehe

Also going to use Ultimate Compound and Swirl-X to start with - already have them, in fact. I'm still deciding if I want to get a dedicated finishing polish, or if Poli-Seal will suffice for that role.

If I need to do some more correction I might opt for the V 1.0 of the optimum compound and polish... ang mahal nung v2.0

may skil na 5k lang! with a 7 in backing plate... problema lang yung availability ng pads

I'll probably get 8oz of either M105 or the Optimum Compound when I get my DA - hopefully I won't need it, but just in case. If ever gusto mong pasama, just PM me

Try Auto Detailing Solutions - I like their kits better than AG's kits (sa AG kasi either 6.5 pads, or CCS pads, and usually both! ). They have this PCXP kit, which has the PCXP, a 5-inch backing plate, and seven flat 5.5 inch Buff and Shine pads (comparable to LC). Get the yellow pads for cutting, green pads for polishing, and black pads for finishing, glazing and LSP application. They also have a great price on 4-inch pads, less than half of what AG sells the LC 4-inch spot buffs.

Not with DAs here - the issue was with the DAs overseas, and the way the copper wire inside the power cord would sometimes break, so the tool wouldn't start. It's not a difficult problem to fix if it should occur, but they have apparently fixed the issue already (they pulled out all stock from all stores for about a month or two, and just recently re-released the machine). The DAs here, nung nag-EB, di gumagana yung 1-3 na speed setting, labo!

Plano ko talaga hintayin yung Black Friday and Christmas sales, and to buy then.

thank you for posting the link btw. mas prefer ko talaga DA over the rotary. well obviously for a novice like me. yung mga Makita na rotary nabigatan ako gamitin parang nanghina tuloy braso ko, halatang walang exercise. i also noticed ang mga rotary talagang pure power pala mga yan.

I'm of the same mind - while I don't doubt that you can cut faster with a rotary, it does take more time to learn; and for someone who's just an enthusiast like myself, I won't be detailing enough cars often enough to gain that experience, nor would the time-savings be as crucial. And yes, mabigat nga yung Makita, hehe

had that dilemma several weeks ago... DA vs. Rotary.

Chose the DA due to 1) user-friendliness, 2) versatility.

I've seen the Carlack twins at MC Home Depot at the Fort - might be worth going to other MC Home Depots and checking if they have it.

Same reasoning for me saving up for the DA instead of a rotary right now
