actually, you can feel it naman whether you need to or not. and most of the time, natatanggal naman ng clay most of the contaminants (if you get to it in time though)

which of the following Megs would be better, the Polymer (#20) or Synthetic (#21) sealant?

yung #20, meron na yan dito, not sure about the #21 though. pero i'd pick 21.

*sigh* havent been able to detail lately.. puro wash lang. I'd definitely have to use a cleaner wax..

well, sa 'yo ko nakita yun (from the preeeeeevious pages of this thread... hehehe. so, pagnagkampanya ka na, may slogan ka na.

ang iniisip ko kasi pag nagclay/cleaner ulit ako, di ba mai-strip ulit kung ano man yung mga nakapatong na layers? eh kung top-up ko lang yung sealant/wax sana para less time siguro or something...o nahilo na lang talaga ako?

yung #20, meron na yan dito, not sure about the #21 though. pero i'd pick 21.

if you got some layers going with a pure wax or a sealant, better not use a cleaner wax muna. not unless you want to remove the previous ones (and albeit some minor swirls that will always pop up) and start from scratch..

you have to find a balance between looks and protection especially sa weather natin ngayon.

pero clarification lang, when you mean by layering, what products are you using?
personally, maganda kasi ang results to get 2-3 layers of Klasse SG first before topping off with carnauba on dark-colored rides.

as for #20, I spotted some sa Simex sa may Kamias. yun nga lang, medyo mahal. I'd rather pick #21 or even better, Klasse na lang.

not unless you want to remove the previous ones ...and start from scratch..

It doesn't hurt to clay... don't worry clay won't strip off the wax or sealant.

Funny isn't it? two totally different products with the same name. Klasse S & G is a sealant, Mothers S & G is a glaze. Klasse S & G is usually packaged with Klasse AIO >> Klasse Twins.

Klasse isn't available locally here, its available in the States. Between that and Megs # 20 I'd pick Klasse.

re: product naming -- Oo nga, conspiracy theory siguro ng mga nagdesign ng mga pangalan ng mga product na yan para lituhin ang mga OC. hehehe. ok, once more every one "Klasse SG=Sealant, Moms SG=Glaze".

re: 21, yun yung rason kung bakit ko tinatanong kung alin ang mas ok sa 20/21. kasi, worst case scenario, baka isa lang makita nya or available...choose the lesser evil.di pa man din naiiinfect na sakit natin yung source ko. hehehe.
re: S100 -- hanapin ko muna kung ano tong S100. kailangan kasi specific product name at kung pwede may picture e para sigurado yung kukunin nya. hehe.
regarding product from abroad, may (alam ka bang) suking tindahan ka ba sa Singapore?

hmm.. last time I was there in Singapore, never really got a chance to scour the place and look for detailing stuff.

so, glaze until spray wax ako last, so ang "sandwhich" e next session, glaze until spray wax ulit over dun sa previous

in between detailing (glaze and seal) sessions, you can use a spray wax during this period for maintenance. for example, pwedeng wash tapos spray wax and QD muna until the time comes para clean, polish, glaze and seal.. yung spray wax kasi pang-mabilisan talaga.

mind you, after a while, you'll be able to tell naman what your ride needs by looking, touching and feeling. for example, pwedeng glaze muna to cover the swirls o kaya naman ganadong-ganado to remove them defects so clay and polish ka na then seal.

there's no cut-out step-by-step process actually.
