I've tried premium 3M, V-Kool and Platinum tint for over several years.

I'm happiest with the Platinum, it is very black and not visible from outside, while very clear and keeps the cold inside.

Am not sure if there are still installers of Platinum as the last one I have was installed 2012 and it is still in great condition. No change in color.

V-kool heat rejection does not seem to be as good as it used to be ... have VK series on windshield and K37 on the front side ... can feel the heat piercing through the driver's windows ...

    Magic tint

I suggest try Sunbloc for clear tint. Old user of Vkool pero now I'm happy with my Sunbloc clear tint. Wala pa problem sa waze and RFID

K37 really doesn't have great heat rejection compared to VK40 and even VK70.

When I had VK70 I could also feel the warmth of the sun on my arms though it was bearable.

Hi how much were you charged for sunbloc ceramic 70?
Is it a fresh install or scrap old tint + install?

    TIA

The OEM 35 seems to have better heat rejection than the K37 ... have K15 at the rear side and quarter windows but always the driver so don't know the difference ...

Thanks for sharing. Glad to know that there are alternatives that does not interfere with RFID and GPS

Not only is it cheaper than a retrofit, it's also much brighter.

However, not all clear tints are cheaper than retrofits.

    HID retrofits:
    Xenon Concepts - 10k
    Redline - 20-25k
    GaryQ - 20-35k

Clear tints (prices for a sedan):

    Vkool VK70 - 38k
    Huper Optik C70 - 26k
    Nanotech Clearsky 9060 - 15k
    Sunbloc Ceramic 70 - 12k

    NO. Definitely not.

Not for the windshield at least. You can do OEM05 on the sides but OEM20 on the windshield. OEM05 is too dark on the windshield, even with the high beam on.

I have 5% VLT tint on my windshield right now and it's very hard to drive at night.

I don't remember the prices now, but Platinum is cheapest and V-Kool is most expensive, 3M is middle.

In terms of satisfaction with the product:
    1. Platinum
    2. V-Kool
    3. 3M

What I like best with Platinum is it is very black from outside, but quite clear and visible from inside.

Try nyo ung Sunbloc Ultra clear tints, after 4 days now using it on my RS. I can say na mas okay ito vs. Huper c70 and vkool vk70 on my other cars.

Mas mura pa sya at 18k for whole car na vs 24k on huper and vkool before.
