+1 Mas matino talaga ang set up ng Uber. Pati toll kasama na sa bill.

Uber operated at a loss, they never intended to make money from fares.

Even Grab is not earning money from fares.

They both make money from other "side businesses"

Even drivers don't make money from fares, if they don't hit incentives, they don't make money

Exactly. Also, Grab was into taxis first before they had private cars. I usually have conversation with Uber drivers and most of them are driven by owners. I remember one was a seaman on vacation and another was a father whose Innova was given by his children.
