    these taxis didn't have an app.
    they had (have) a phone number, with a real human at the other end, to scribble notes on paper..

    ano pa ang gusto ng tao? same thing that they have always wanted! ...taxis being there when they need one, to bring them to their choice destination without question, at the right price.
    personally, i have no qualms riding a hello kitty taxicab.
    What they want is to pay peanuts for premium service.

    Ano sila? Wala ng karapatan kumita mga Drivers?

    ah.
    i thought you were, as you seem to come around as someone who knows just how much money these transport folks are making. or losing.

    everyone wants to make money.
    but there should be balance.
    no overcharging nor undercharging allowed.
    yung tama lang.

    i was just wondering.
    let us assume,
    an ordinary taxi makes a daily 1000 for boundary, and 500 for the driver. that's 1500 bucks a day x 30 days = 45,000 pesos a month. conservative.
    so how much does a grab driver generate, and how is the money pie cut?

    If the profit is so bad for these TNVS, why is it that the last uber driver /owner I talked to was on his way to buy a 3rd unit ... this was sometime in 2017, by the way ... he won't be buying a 3rd unit if he was operating at a loss, right?

    Profit was good, till the P2 per km was found out and clamped down.

    Actually, ride share nga pala ang Grab Car. Profit dapat from the fuel and opex. Not the capex.
