what you need to clean is the magnet sa loob ng atf pan, madami metal fillings na nag clump together around the magnet.

i will advise you to use the original atf pan filter should you choose to replace it.

a branded ATF with spec higher than what you need is also advisable, that way you are also buying a little further of margin.

use what is spec'd and compatible.

some are higher spec'd but are backward compatible and some aren't.

I just checked Mitsubishi ASX maintenance schedule. Under normal driving condition, no mention to change ATF, even up to 240,000 km. But under severe driving conditions, it says change ATF every 48,000 km or 24 months. No mention to change ATF filter, unlike for engine oil.

And I guess the casa interprets this as replace....

P1000 for the service bro. Asked them an hour ago... They were recommending the use of a cheaper dexron3 atf to flush out. Cost is P280 per liter. I think I will be using the original Toyota atf for everything. BTW, asked Bicutan for a quote, they were recommending 3 liters of atf only si just drain and replace.... But total cost of pms at 40kkm is P15k.....
more or less pareho lang din pala sa customer's cradle ang cost ng pag-gamit ng transtech machine nila

i was told na pwede din iyong castrol equivalent ng oem atf ng mitsu kaso to play safe i stuck it out w/ the oem atf na lang din. iyon nga lang, it did cost me a pretty penny ika nga

Mas maniwala ka sa documents or manuals kaysa sa mga SA.

Wag maniwala sa SA. Best to inspect the ATF first. For Ford Ranger, change ATF at:

    Normal driving conditions: 240,000 km
Extensive idling and driving at low speeds: 170,000 km
    Towing: 100,000 km
Operating on dusty conditions: 48,000 km
    Off road conditions: 48,000 km
