In one of the episode of the mythbusters, i remember jamie and adam doing all sorts of stuff like putting up reflective mirrors, painting the whole car black etc.... just to evade the speed gun but to no avail.

Window tint may reduce the laser/radar signals before it reaches the detector (in the same way it reduces signal to e-tags/easy-trip).
RADAR - metalized window film may reduce radar signals by reflection.
LASER - window film may reduce the amount of laser light by reflecting or absorbing it.
Although my car is tinted, it does not use metalized tints nor do I have my front windshield tinted. This maximizes the potential reception from the front and I can still get radar signals from sides and rear (although I do not know the degree of signal reduction from my sides and rear).Last edited by ghosthunter; May 20th, 2013 at 11:48 AM.

LINK: Valentine One radar and laser detectors
$400
Locally, I don't know if anyone is selling it here.
The problem with V1, they haven't released any updated products for a couple of years as compared to other brands. So does it still compare well with the competition?Last edited by ghosthunter; May 20th, 2013 at 12:05 PM.
