Haha! Sana pala name mo na lang ang nilagay mo sa test sheet sir yebo. Sobrang hassle pala mahuli. 1 question just popped out of my head...yung scanner kaya nila regularly calibrated? (yearly) and how is it calibrated? Via gps speed or car speedometer reading? There is a bit difference between gps speed reading & car speedo reading

Hindi kaya pag nagpalit ka ng size ng gulong saka nagkakaroon ng discrepancies sa speed, kasi from OEM size pinaliit mo mas mabilis ang ikot, pag pinalaki mo mabagal ang ikot.

true yan. my speedometer was reading 135kph when i was clocked at 128kph. i also compared it with the gps, the gps reading is around 5kph lower than the speedo. same with my sorento, 5 kph lower din than the gps.

All brands calibrate the speedo higher. Some are more conservative than the others. With the two Corollas at home, my tires are slightly bigger:
    - On the 2007 Corolla, i changed from OEM 185/70R14 to OEM rims with 205/60R15 and now my speedo reading and GPS is almost spot-on (119kph GPS, 120kph speedo).
    - On the 2012 Corolla, we changed from 195/65R15 to 215/50R17 and the speedo reading is 118kph GPS versus 120kph speedo. Before that, the discrepancy was roughly 5-6kph.

    +1 on me. Same discrepancy.

I remember somewhere here Niky had a good explanation on the GPS receivers/processors (?) about the discrepancy we get from the GPS vs car speedo/gauge. ;)

I change my stock Altis 185/70/R14 tires din to 195/60/R15 which according sa tire calculator is just a 0.1% discrepancy. Using the GPS of my Lenovo phone, almost to the dial ang reading, e.g. a reading of 60kph on the GPS is also 60kph on the speedo dial. On my brother''s Civic, reading on the GPS is approx. 5kph lower than the speedo reading.
