    nakaka highblood na talaga to...

    isa tong malaking kalokohan!!!

1 sack whitesand namin before the increase is 35 pesos, now its 45 pesos...maraming nagalit na customers namin,a!

SHOW THE PEOPLE THE MNTC's D*** COMPUTATION!

sa dami ng dumadaan dyan sa nlex, mababawi naman nila ang ginastos nila in due time...

at least may magandang ginawa pala MNTC sa NLEX...nabawasan ang traffic WITHIN the tollway!-->kumunti ang dumadadan!!naipit lahat sa tollgate!

the ad says we got 90 days...anu sinu magrereklamo?

ano ba yan, pati daanan, pineperahan tayo! 200php one way is so painful to the pocket. So pag pupunta kaming pangasinan, 400 pesos agad balikan! So more or less, we are paying 30-40% of our gasoline already. Ang shakit shakit!

The NLEX mgmt keeps on referring to a UP study that says that the savings you get on gasoline and maintenance more than make up for the toll increase... where can we get a copy of this study ? Gusto ko sana i check kung valid yung assumptions and conclusions :-)

This situation was bound to happen. But it was something that i already accepted and dealt with. What will happen is that people who used to go to and from the areas in the North will be forced to find boarding places for the week and only come home on weekends. This will reduce the gasoline usage. Also, companies will now have to use bigger trucks so that they can carry more load and fewer trips.
Lowering the rates and slowing the rate of increase is merely postponing the inevitable. People were already informed of this and yet did not use the time to prepare as they were assuming that the increase wasn't really going to happen. Now that it has really happened, a brief rollback is in order just to give time for those procrastinating people to do their preparations now. As with the MRT, expect a rollback and a gradual increase. This one's just an example to show the public that the company is serious about this.
As for increases in prices, that just shows why our standard of living remains poor as productivity remains low. Any increase in the price of inputs (transportation, wages, raw materials) automatically leads to the increase of price of outputs (products and services) as the systems we are using are not efficient.

I read this before, the main assumption from what i recall is that road conditions is major cause of accidents and improving road conditions will lead to less accidents and therefore less maintenance. As a person who has had his share of hitting unexpected potholes and uneven pavement, i agree with the idea of less maintenance. However, what the study fails to consider is that the improved mileage (no stop and go traffic to waste gas) and maintenance will not be of benefit to daily users as the increase is a variable cost while the maintenance is a fixed cost. Travelling thru the tollway regularly will eventually cost you more due to the multiplier effect.

Kaya nga 2nd na corolla lang binili ko and as far as we know na LOW MAINTENANCE e2 car nato.

    skyway.

magkano hanggang filinvest? 42 pesos diba? (not sure) samantalang piso lang ang tool noon, at unmanned pa ang station, coinbox lang. minsan nga, bala or candy pa ang pinambabayad sa drop box.

its the people who created the need, no need to complain, we deserve this tool fee increase.

I greatly disagree with you. 388%++ increase is not fairly to us midclass society. para syo siguro ok dahil sa class A ka, and I bet mga SUV, large class cars oto mo and recieving more than 5 to 6 digits range of income.
ano ka ba naman ikaw nga lawakan mo nga isip mo you so filty rich kaya di mo problema to.

Nobody agrees with the increase. Who wants to shell out more for the same service? But you're right, since the government didn't allow the PNCC to reflect the true costs needed for the maintenance and repair of the road, privatization occured with the subsequent higher costs as a company will only invest if it gets a return on its investment. Same thing happened with our power situation and the IPP's.
If it were a government project (without the corruption factor), the costs on the ordinary consumer would be minimal as it would be financed through the taxes we already paid. But as the Macapagal road project shows, it is a pipe dream.

for those who are gipit, only way is to lessen the frequency of travels nalang. cos it nearly rivals the cost of gasoline.
