Diba Fast lane starts at 80KPH above. Meaning, pag takbo mo is 80KPH eh sa Fastlane ka, merong kasing ibang speed freak dyan na pag nasa Fastlane ka 80KPH eh tinututukan ka and bini-beam yung headlight.

I usually encounter this pag pumumunta ako nga SM SnFdo (Angeles to SnFdo), I usually run 90KPH lang and pag me umaangas na pinapatabi ako, minsan di ko na pinapansin or minsan pag ala ako sa kundisyon, binabagalan ko pa...pero never akong tatabi

sa germany autobahn ganyan. kaya upto 250kph and up nakaka takbo sila dun.

Grabe talaga!

Yeap, yun nga. Maximum is supposedly 100KPH lang, it does not mean that you maintain 100KPH to be in the Left lane. I saw a board once sa NLEX, nakalagay ata doon is "60KPH MOVE RIGHT" pero tinanggal na.

Malaki naman ang improvement nito compared to the old NLEx.

I also agree with Mazdamazda that road courtesy dictates that slower cars stay on the right lane(s) and leave the left lane for passing.

Simple lang naman ang rule dyan. Stay on the right lane. Once you catch up with the car in front and you feel that its going too slow, move to the left lane. Overtake. Then move back to the right lane. I think its more dangerous to have to weave through slow moving cars on both lanes - para bang moving pylons.

NLEX toll may be lowered in 2007

The Manila North Tollways Corp. (MNTC) on Friday said it may adjust toll rates at the 82-km North Luzon Expressway in 2007 depending on the strength of the peso and the country's inflation rate.

"The (toll rate) will not change until 2007. Now if the foreign exchange, our peso, will remain strong until 2007 and the inflation rate remains moderate, the rates may remain as is or even go lower," MNTC president Jose de Jesus told DZMM.

He added that the 388-percent increase was approved by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) based on the formula submitted by the MNTC.

He said the Tollways Management Corporation had incurred losses on its first day of operations after declaring a 30-minute "toll holiday" on Thursday to decongest the traffic jam at the toll gates. The congestion was caused by motorists arguing with tellers over the new toll. Some were not aware that they would pay a lot more.

Some toll operators accepted promissory notes from provincial buses and truck drivers who could not pay the toll.

Under the new rates, NLEX charges a flat rate of P42 from Balintawak and any exit point up to Bocaue. After Bocaue, an increment of P2.49 per km will be charged for Class 1 (cars), P6.23 for Class 2 (buses and trucks), and P7.47 for Class 3 (heavy vehicles).
