I do get where he is coming from. Just that it is not practical for most.

On that front though, im hoping for more practically priced EVs for our market. A practical small city car with about 200kms max range.

I thought the honda e would be a good option but the workmanship they did on that car, lead to a high price. Hehe. Ü

We just need to abolish the self serving metro manila council.

If they really want to give the mmda teeth, then have them execute and manage the transport of metromanila.

Remove it from the hands of lto, ltfrb, and local traffic bureaus. The mixed bags of resolutions and uncoordinated schemes leads to more problems and worse bottlenecks.

The mayors council is to get their inputs, but final say would be for the one implementing.

That said, we have schools here that teach and have professional traffic and environmental planners, i do not, for the life of me, understand why they do not tap the prc and the corcsrned professional organization of envi planners to get proper studies, along with data collection.

They study it, are practicing it, why not engage their services to update the greater metro manila master plan and stick to it. No more lollygagging and tampering by local officials.

Sadly, that is a pipe dream coz no (dis) honest politician in their (un) right mind will let the chance to not leave their mark on the project.

You can encourage biking, but you'd have to minimize the volume of a transient workforce. Meaning avoid working at least 2 cities away from where you live.

A bike can travel 10 to 30 kph. Nasa loob lang ng metro manila. The metro is not really big if may dedicated exclusive lane. Direcho andar.

pabor na pabor ito around makati/bgc. Every day work grind. Simple mode of transpo.

    alas!
mmda has to beg its way thru the quagmire that is the metro manila mayors' club.

an emasculated entity, when compared to...
...when imelda marcos was at the helm.

an admirable thought. even advantageous, to some.
but i feel, it won't significantly solve the metro's traffic problem.

    speaking of.
underpasses are very very dangerous places to be in and to pass thru, during sudden rains.
despite their having two large wheels between a frame with engine, they still think they're pedestrians.

    or

what is a township? condo living near your work, with hospital, schools, mall, clinics, government facilities like NBI clearance, LTO, DFA etc. supermarkets, mr quickie, restaurants, gimikan andun na lahat

the problem with Pinoys kasi madami kasangkapan tapos andami abubot kaya hinde makaalis sa totoo bahay nila, eh kaya lang ano ba mas importante, time or space or money.

ako priority ko, time, then money, then space. iba priority money, then space, then time. so hayun, dusa kayo traffic everyday.

now, I know wala ako anak, and me and my wife are fitness fanatics so kasya kasya kami condo tapas minimalist pa kami sa gamit, I am not into home theatres or big speakers, we're not into heavy clothes and definitely, even if my wife can cook, I discourage her and just eat out on a weekend basis. so wala sya Malaki Lagermania all-in-one oven, mga kumpleto kitchen appliances like pasta ovens and other big stuff.

we only use Apple devices, no android, no windows. Apple is minimalistic. I even use iPhone 5s as dashcam. The only non-apple device that we have are miniscule 2-way radios that we use for travel.

life is simpler. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

you see everything that you add to yourself, it's bound to make you inefficient later on. Pets, kulungan ng pets, dog food, lazy sofa boy, a big pantry of food stocks, 1 12 seater dining table, tapos pag sa guns gusto lahat meron, pistol, revolver, even shotgun and semi-automatic. look at James Bond, he's effective pero he just carries a Walther minisucle gun, pero asintado. and he looks good in tux.

dapat ganun ang approach sa life.

    ---

now the exception is if you have kids. well, kung ako lang ha, if I will have kids, I will train him not to be materialistic and how will I do that? kelangan lagi experience and ibibigay ko sa kanya, eating out, travel, shooting in the woods, archery, jogging, boxing, *** kwon do, fixing cars or gadgets. so that pag lumaki sya hinde sya ma- abubot. he will cherish lving more than owning.

Better than banning private vehicles from using EDSA, right? What's your take?
Monday- toyota at honda, Tuesday- nissan at mitsubishi, Wednesday- hyundai kia at isuzu, Thursday- toyota at honda, Friday- nissan at mitsubishi, Saturday- hyundai kia at isuzu, Sunday - all american at european car.
