Regular taxi:
- with franchise. Franchise can be suspended or revoked by ltfrb for any violation of the franchise, including refusal to carry passengers. The franchise is usually from city applied to anywhere in that island. Like "Manila to any point of Luzon".
- pays supervision fees and income taxes yearly on top of registration fees. No payment no renewal of registration.
- operators need a garage. If the franchise is for 10 units then the garage must be able to fit all 10.
- drivers required to have a uniform.
- has license plate numberss painted on all 4 sides, with name of taxi visible.
GRAB
- dati walang franchise. Umaangal sila kasi required na.
- dati walang fees and income tax. Meron na. Angal pa more.
- basta nakabili ng kotse at nakapasok sa grab ayos na, kahit street parking lang meron.
- walang uniform ang driver. Meron nga naka short lang.
- no identification besides license plates.

As I mentioned earlier.
1 Car same owner and driver - different rule
2 Cars or more - same rule as Taxi
Honestly, I really like what Grab/Uber did. Twice na akong may nameet na driver (1 Wigo and a Picanto) Dati daw naka-motor sila. Dahil sa Grab, nagawa nilang bumili ng kotse para mapasyal naman nila paminsan minsan family nila.

July 17th, 2019 06:24 PM #57oh di ba icy ang ganda ng description ko sa mga nag-transport network. Hindi pa ako nakasakay nyan pero may mga nakita na ako pag may hinahatid ako palabas ng gate. Yung itsura hindi mukhang owner ng kotse so defintely not a ride-sharing.
