Honestly I also have a lot of questions on the decisions made by the gov't for the summit. However, instead of just dismissing the people behind it as idiots (a lot of them are smarter and far more experienced than most of us after all), I'd like to hear their side of the story.

I've been flooding the Viber of my friend who's in the summit but it seems to be a busy night since he hasn't replied since this afternoon.

Please excuse us stupid peasants who have to work for a living. I was stuck for 3 hrs to get to work.
Some travel 6 hrs 1way and some cant even take public transportation, some companies let their employees take a break coz of this event. Have you seen the commuters wait in vain for transportation?

Some are lucky theyre just burning fuel inside their air conditioned cars while others stand in the 38c heat.

Youre no peasant. I am sure of that.

I stil commend some people who took their previldge and escaped the metro. I would have done the same.

    to lighten up some info.
Kaya hindi sa subic, cebu, or davao ginawa ang apec dahil they can't accommodate 10,000 people in one place. Like hotels and the venue. Not included un mga media pa dun kaya the best choice is metro manila. Saka commuters don't plan there travel yesterday and today or un driver lang ang may sala kasi di dumaan sa alternative route. Hmm basta may kulang hehe

I just wanna zone out and filter all APEC-related rants, but my social media feeds are 90% APEC, 5% Paris, and 4% Alma Moreno right now.

Not a good time to be online after a long day I guess. Way too much negativity.

well i suppose that's one way of dealing with the traffic. If there was a younger crowd there....there'd be a street party ^_^

Waah! I left Makati around 730pm and took McKinley Road on my way to Sucat. C5 is a big parking lot but cars were crawling. The entrance to SLEX was really bad. I took the East Service road and took the slow but moving pace to get back into SLEX. I got home at 1030pm.

Ako I left my office and was home in 0 minute... work from home this week eh 😁

On a serious note, when veteran Tsikoteers here say it's one of the worst traffic experiences in their lives, then it must really be that bad.

Thanks for explaining why Subic isn't the venue again. Makes sense.

I still wish the government will come out with an aggressive propaganda campaign informing us of the (potential) benefits of APEC. It's not yet too late. See Inquirer's poll

Last monday I walked around 4kms going to work and 3kms going back home. Yesterday, I brought a car, it took me 30 mins going to work and 5hrs going home but it was very very less stressful compared to monday.

It's water under the bridge. Ok lang namn maglakad ng ilang kilometers. Wag lang siguro may kasamang bata. If you're single, pagkakataon mo na to meet a mate. hehe.

Seriously, we already spent 10 Billion on this event, might as well support and be happy about it while hoping na sana, sana may mag-invest man lang ng 10 billion para break-even man lang.

Walked from Market Market to Greenbelt last night dahil mahaba pila sa jeep.

Took me less than an hour. It helped that a slim young thing with badonkadonks was a few paces in front of me walking in the same direction :naughty2:

C5 southbound last night was slow but moving even with a truck blocking a lane near Palar.
