yes sir, when parked and locking turns at both sides.
    is that normal or trouble?

    thanks

In my opinion it is definitely not a defect. Just the steering pump doing its job of pumping the fluids sa steering box.

By the way, as a precaution, do not hold the steering at full lock for more than 5 secs as this builds up pressure in the hydraulic hose leading to premature wear of the hose and seals.

    just my :twocents:

    Mga Gurus,

Ask ko lang po kung meron na sa inyo nakabili ng Fortuner M/T and any feedback? And it is true na walang Air Bag at ABS?

    Appreciate your comment.

    Thank you po.

No true. It has the same specs as the other variants except for the transmission and cloth seating material (instead of leather upholstery).

It is also not advisable to turn the steering wheel when the vehicle is in a standstill position because the steering pump may be damaged. Dapat merong konting movement ng vehicle when you turn the steering wheel para di ma overworked yung steering pump.

On another issue regarding the Fortuner, napansin ko na merong kalampag from the third row, habang nakatupi ito, pag napadaan ka sa lubak. Tumutunug yung anchors ng third-row seats na nakasabit sa upper handles located at the top of the windows. Any other solution para mawala yung tunug or kalampag from the folded 3rd row seat pag napadaan ka sa lubak? Pa share naman. Thanks.

It causes uneven wear too to your front tires.

Parang mas maganda pa yung tumble down.

Good day to you sir jmaneze! ask ko lng sana how much ang magpa "Paint Protect" sa Ziebart? then saan kaya dito sa Quezon City branch nila.
Finally im about to drive my brand new Fort 3.0V (white) from Toyota Quezon Ave tommorow. TIA

    * auto fanatic

i suggest tighten the velcro strap (w/ hook) for lesser play when seats are folded and hung. =D

    *delta96er . goodluck and congrats! =)

Pansin ko lang na ang lakas pa rin ng dating ang Fort kahit almost 5 years old na I like the current, updated model with more functional improvements like projector lamps and larger wheels.

We are considering to get by next year to replace one of our aging cars but a friend of mine from abroad told me that an upcoming Full Model Change version might be released sometime in 2010 that may feature a body similar to that of the current Prado.

    Any news about this?

I agree, 5 years down the line and it's still going strong! The facelift update just put the cherry on the cake. It has a pretty much faultless design.

I wonder where Toyota would take the next gen Fortuner, the next gen model may make or break the Fortuner..

    Helo Fortuner Lovers,

    Thanks ulit.
