Hi Guys,



Car newbie here. I have a 1.3E M/T vios bought last January 2017.
Madalas on the road.

Odo: 2698kms

Mixed city and highway. Traffic, madalang makasagupa ang sobrang bumper to bumper dahil alam ko pasikot sikot.
Unfortunately, FC ko based on my comp reading is 6 kms per L.

Max speed is 60~65 kph
Aircon is set to 2
Light footed except during overtakes.
dalawa lang kami ni misis ang nakasakay without other loads even inside the trunk

at bakit parang sobrang tigas ng suspension na ramdam ang lubak unlike ng sa Mirage G4 na ramdam ang lubak pero di sobra?

I can't find any reliable source ng FC ng vios specifically for E M/T variant Model either 2016 or 2017.

Any advice?
if possible paki share naman po ang FC ninyo kung E M/T vios niyo?

Pano ka nag compute ng fc mo?

I also have 1.3MT and my fc reading last week was 16km/L using full tank to full tank conputation. 20% city and 80% highway. 2 to 4 persons ang sakay ko.

U should try using manual full tank computation to get a better reading.

Sa suspension naman, comparing to ecosport and accent much better ang suspension ng vios.

Yup based on my experience mas malambot ang sa vios.

From time to time im checking my fc, before naabot ko ang 21km/L having 2 passengers on 70kph.

Tanung ko lang, kasi i bought a second hand Vios 2003 1.5G A/T a few days ago, nag-gas ako 500php unleaded sa Shell, that is about 12.2L - 12.5L. I travel 65km - 70km a day most of the time kaming dalawa lang ng asawa ko ang load niya. 80% hi-way 20% city yung 500php will last me about 2-3 days. That translates to 9-11km/L is that okay? Oo nga pala, once na nagbli-blink na yung gas meter mga ilang liters na lang yun? Thank you.

FC ko 9km/L 50% city 50% highway. mababa plng odo ko nsa 500+ plng. hnd ko alam kung light footed ako since newbie driver lng ako hahaha. computed via manual full tank method. 1.3 E M/T Dual vvti

i do not know if this engine oil cap test, is a reliable way to evaluate the engine.
perhaps it is just a very rough indication of large valve clearance?

probably added dust in the engine too lol. clean the cap if you will open it...

it's an old school way na ginagawa ng mga mekaniko to test daw yung condition ng engine. but why would you want to open it? an oil filler cap is much like your radiator cap that it must be left in normally closed position. natural umaandar ang makina at gumagalaw ang mga components sa loob so may build up ng pressure, so common sense may tatalsik talaga na oil. and that's the reason why may oil seal around the inner back ng oil cap para snug fit siya and to prevent the oil from coming out.

hindi na pwede yung ganyang diagnosis kung mataas blowby ng makina, (DOHC) double over-head cam ang design kasi ng makina ng vios. normal na may tumatalsik na langis.

Normal lang may tumatalsik na langis sa oil cap. Kaya nga sya may takip eh.

Anyway, about 1 year old pa lang yung kotse. Unlikely na may catastrophic engine failure yan. May warranty naman siguro.

Anyway, if i want to haggle the unit really low, i will tag that "mechanic" along during negotiations.

But if i want to get a real picture of how the engine is doing, i will get a competent mechanic.

From your description, it seems walang alam mechanic na nakuha mo

Ask lang po, plan ko po kasi magpalit ng antenna for vios e m/t.. ok po ba yung sharks fin antenna? di po ba madali malutong or masira yun?
