guys need help. our innova G 2013 started to have this squeaking sound when the road is bumpy. it just started now. do i need to have the front shocks repaired? or replaced na agad? can someone recommend a shop near QC and Manila? anong shock replacement ba ang OK and good bang for the buck? thanks.

you will have to find out, what the sounds are caused by. there are many possibilities. bring it to the shop.
otherwise, you might end up replacing everything.

What exactly is the engine cover that you are referring to bro?

If its is the new model, the blake ornamental piece thst covers the engine is only available with the G and V variant. The E and J variant doesnt have this. Weird nga bakit nila tinanggal. Parang ewan lang.

That cover costs 6k.

Go get yourself sound deadening. Malaki engine ng new innova. The added weight of the extra sound deadening material is easily handled by the engine.

i am ok with its inside noise. nilakasan ko lang ang volume ng dzmm ni ted failon.
sound deadening? i hear it's not cheap...

Well, the Innovas aren't exactly luxury vehicles so average to high-average NVH is to be expected.

If the outside noise gets unbearable or annoying, I'd probably have sound deadening material put in din. Haha.

Tahimik kasi makina ng bagong innova. Compared sa revo at crosswind mas rinig mo makina kaysa sa mga ingay sa labas

in truth, we should not expect the same level of nvh insulation in all cars.
each manufacturer has its manufacturing priorities.

another point to consider, is that not all traffic generates the same level of noise.

but yes.
the noisier the engine, the more it drowns out the other sources of noise around it.

Check the weatherstrips of the doors. Baka naging loose lang. Our new innova has great noise insulation, comparable sa camry at monty (2nd row at least)

oil viscosity could play a part also. a newly oil changed vehicle would normally feel smoother quiter from pre-oil change. from experience some well maintained broken-in old generation diesels like in the aforementioned revo could be relatively quiet nga pero yun bagong diesel ng toyota should be quiet too relatively speaking.

some car sellers intentionally put in heavier oils, to make the engine quieter.
and to hide that flickering oil pressure warning light.

planning to put mobil 85w-90 sa transmission at differential ng innova 2013 (2kd) instead of the oem fluids.
