Pero brake drum maintenance like cleaning and handbrake adjust are hard to neglect.

One more thing,- the price difference between the gas and diesel variants for the same transmission is roughly P65K (diesel is of course more expensive)...

Assuming 8Km/L for gas (at P50/L) and 10Km/L for diesel (at P40/L),- and same maintenance costs for both, then at 29KKm,- you paid P181,250 for gasoline and P116,000 for diesel.... And so, if you're the owner of the diesel variant, then you save P65,250.... The difference is paid for....

    19.3K:chop:
The question is gaano mo kabilis aabutin yung 29,000 km? Like me, I purchase an Innova VVTI 2008E for 300k, binebenta ko ng 595k ditto sa amin pero wala ako nauuto na bumili wahehehe... Pure city drive ako, and I know di ako aabot ng 10k per year kasi we have a Tamaraw FX diesel na 1997 pa naming binili brand new, sa ngayun ang mileage pa lang ay nasa 62,000 km pa lang.

So kung bumili ako ng brand new na Innova VVTI, baka 8 years na, di ko pa nababawi yung cost difference ng VVTI at D4D.

Boss cvt, kung nasa 5k a year ang gamit ng sasakyan, ilang years bago mabawi yung price difference ng diesel?
2008 vvti at 20500 plus kms mileage.

Pero at the rate the innova is being used, mukhang matatagalan pa.

    TIA

It will depend on how much was the average price difference from the purchase date of your car and yung running price ngayun.

At dahil di naman fixed yung price difference, so magvavary sya, iikli or lalawak yung time frame para maabot mo yung na save mo sa price difference.

Kung hindi aabot ng 10,000 km per year ang tinatakbo mo, better stick with VVTi, yan ang sabi ng karamihan ditto.

if you do 12,000 km a year..
    vvti innova does 8 km/li, while d4d does 10 km/li..
gas at 50/li and diesel at 40/li..
you will probably spend 27,000 more kesos a year, driving the vvti versus the d4d.

If you want faster acceleration, higher revs and more importantly quieter engine then go with vvti. if you are planning to sell your car after 3-5 years, vvti pa rin.

mga paps, napansin nyo ba sa innova or even sa ibang alloy wheel ng Toyota yung parang lumot na stain and parang may mga bumubukol na rin na kalawang?

May way pa ba para marestore?

Setting aside maintenance cost, i mean you could really save fuel in the long run if you plan to keep it for lets say 10yrs.

Toyota KD engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sbi ng bayaw ko na ahente sa toyota, nasa 120k mileage daw kadalasan pinapaltan ang injectors which costs 15-20k each!

    Dagdag maintenance yon.

Diesel is cheap for the mean time kasi malaki ang gov't subsidy dito.

What if bigla baguhin yan ng gobierno? And price difference between gas and diesel moves all the time, kapag nagcomply tayo sa strict environmental regulations at pinagcomply ang refinery natin dito ng diesel na itaas ang standard, tataas ang production cost ng diesel.

For me, I will keep a vehicle not because of its cheap fuel cost, I will keep it hangang mura pa sya I-repair at I-maintain using oem parts.

Pag sa casa daw more than 80ata ang singil

    Nalito ako dito, detail natin:
    12000/8=1500 (gas)
    12000/10=1200 (diesel)
Difference is 300 liters only which will be 300x50=15,000 pesos per year
    Or 75,000 in 5 years
    Tama ba ako?
Vvti din ako because of this too and simply i like quite and less smoke.
