This happens if you use your headlamps often.

Remedy is to have the lens (the clear plastic) polished/buffed.

I think Big Bert's can do it but there are also other places.

Ok lang yan. Nakasulat sa manual, 2KD-FTV is 6.9 liters with oil filter. Tapos hindi naman pina drain ng station yan ng buong araw so meron pang konting oil natitira sa loob ng makina. Tama lang yung 6.5 li.

Pero kung sa akin, 5.8 liters na muna at hintayin bumaba yung langis. Tignan yung dipstick. Tapos top up or dagdag ulit kung hindi pa sapat.

    1) rattling sound somewhere on the passenger side on very low rpm, especially if coming from a stop or going uphill.
    2) odor from outside going inside when passing by an 'imburnal'

I brought this to the attention of toyota on my 1k km checkup. They claimed to have done something about it but the issues are still there. Btw, i told them to check the headlight and the airbag as possible sources if the rattling sound

Can anybody please share their experiences and solution?
    ---------------------------------

Just to update you guys, i am bringing my innova sa casa mamaya for a backjob on the aircon vent problem and the rattling sound.

Also, i discovered something bad. If i turn off the recirculate air button (i have climate comtrol aircon btw), i noticed that there is no air coming out miski todo na ang fan speed and matulin na ang takbo ng car.i cant remember if this was like this when i got the car or after nung 1km pms. Either way, they have to fix it. Sa toyota pasig ako.
So I deposited my car sa CASA nung Thursday and left it there for 3 days. I told them to fix the problems once and for all since I am giving them already ample time. I went back on Monday. Service advisor said they have fixed the problem of no air coming out if the recirculate button is switched off. The reason I was told for the problem is that the mechanic disabled this function as a "dirty workaround" for the problem I described in #2 above during my 1K PMS. It should not have been done. Daya solution daw yun na no-no.

On the rattling sound problem, I was told that they added paddings around the passenger airbag and they adjusted something in the hood. I went for a test drive along with the foreman mechanic. I found that the problem is still there. The foreman heard it himself. So left the car again sa Casa. In the afternoon, I got a call from my SA and was told the problem is solved. I went back and drove it to test. Indeed the PROBLEM WAS SOLVED! They adjusted the TRANSMISSION CABLE found somewhere under the dashboard. CASE SOLVED!

So if you guys encounter this same problem, give them a hint on this solution. Hope this helps.

Sometimes it dulls from the outside because of exposure to sunlight, i.e. when always parked in open spaces, in this case you can DIY. There are Polishers for Clear Plastics. I have a Formula 1 Scratch Remover all the time and found it useful for removing Headlight lens minor scratches as well. When applying it, I found the lens to shine even more.

long before commercial plastic polishers were in vogue, we were using colgate with gardol. it's still ok. we also use it to polish the clear plastic lenses of our watches.
but i think the headlight plastic dulls with time because some workers include them when polishing the paintwork. these chemicals are for paint and not plastic. my car is 15 years old, and the plastic lenses of my lights are still in great shape. i don't use car polish. tubig lang..

I would have to agree with you dr. d. I had a scratch on my swiss watch and stupidly tried using some kind of industrial polisher, which to my horror!! made my watch very ugly. Searching the internet, i found this home remedy solution and voila!!! Back to its scratch free look. Try at your own risk but you may be satisfied with the results. OT pero worth sharing.

SA said that they adjusted the flap in the dashboard. They did not touch the flap in the rear of the car dahil hindi daw advisable yun. Not sure though ano exactly ginawa nila sa flap. But as of now, observation stage pa lang ako to see if solved na yung issue or not.

I just got my innova 2.5 g m/t last week from toyota dasma, cash basis din. I tried other dealerships like makati, commonwealth & alabang. I ended up with dasma kasi I got the best deal from them. 30k discount plus free compre insurance including acts of god worth 30k. so total 60k na-discount ko. 1k lang actually ang difference between makati and dasma.

Just tell them politely. Ganun talaga, you always go for the best offer.
