Hi fellow members,

I have two complaints about my innova. 2012 g vvti 2000km mileage. Got these nuances from the time i got the car from toyota.

1) rattling sound somewhere on the passenger side on very low rpm, especially if coming from a stop or going uphill.
2) odor from outside going inside when passing by an 'imburnal'

I brought this to the attention of toyota on my 1k km checkup. They claimed to have done something about it but the issues are still there. Btw, i told them to check the headlight and the airbag as possible sources if the rattling sound

Can anybody please share their experiences and solution?

Provided that your front aircon is in recirculate mode, the outside smell only enters the cabin through the rear aircon. You may read more about it here.

i don't think the rear aircon has any opening to the outside. perhaps the odor is entering thru the air vents at the base of the front windshield. i read somewhere that as a safety precaution against carbon monoxide poisoning, some cars' front vents never completely close, but allow some air thru, even when set to "close".

nakalagay ung aircon filter sa glove compartment. you just had to open it and push the sides.

I'm not an expert in this area. Tsikot member, wakin is. He disassembled his own Innova's rear aircon assembly at the back to observe it.

Na experience ko din yan sir minsan pumapasok yung amoy sa labas maski na set yung a/c mag circulate sa loob lang. Mukha sakit na yan ng innova. Pati daw sa Fortuner na nangyayarin yung ganyan. May inadjust lang sa unit ko kaya nabawasan lang konti yung pag pasok ng amoy sa labas. Pero minsan lang mangyari sakin.

Meron 5-7 na butas sa likod na bumper ng innova,, takpan nyo yon mawawala amoy na galing sa labas.

not sure bro for the 2006 and 2005 model. better check the car manual.

None.

You can check yours by removing the glove box. Glove box is removed by pushing on side of it until a tab can be sprung out of the holder.

Question:

With regards to oil, the manual says the 2.5 D-4D has oil capacity w/ oil filter is 6.9 liters. Is it ok to put in 6 liters since there are residual oil left inside the engine even if its fully drained (something the casa never does)? Casa always overfills the engine.

As long as pasok siya doon sa between minimum and maximum oil level sa dipstick it should be okay.

Tell the casa to put in only 6L and then just top it....

Walang filter ang aircon sa 2005 and 2006. Pero pwede mo i order and FILTER (87139c) at CASE, AIR FILTER (88548B).

Pwede ito DIY lang.

Yung 2006 models 1st Quarter - 3rd Quarter models walang cabin filter (wala din wheel well cover at hindi pa honey comb grills)

2006 last Quarter models dito nagkaroon ng cabin filter kasabay ng Honey Comb grills at Wheel well cover.

I have 2006 last quarter model which have cabin filter and wheel well cover and honey comb grills.

Hi fellow members,

I am hearing this same rattling sound too at low RPMs, usually when starting to accelerate and its driving me nuts. medyo particular kasi ako sa squeaks and rattles. recently lang naman sya nag manifest. Anyone have suggestions to fix it?

damage 1.9k is it ok?

and ask ko lang natalksikan ng parang vulca seal or cement ng onti ung gilid malapit sa ilalim at sa gulong, ano maganda pang alis?
sabi kasi saken gas daw hindi ko pa na try baka kasi masira ung paint at ung gulong baka masira ko pa

ok lang yan..1K PMAS ko last April 2011, 1800+ binayaran ko...pag ginamitan mo ng gas, pakonti konti lang tapos very minimal pressure lang apply mo...para maiwasan yung mga talsik na ganyan, maganda may mudguards ka...
