Is it possible to interchange low and high beam H4 bulb? I recently replaced both bulbs and I felt that when I switch on low beam right side becomes high beam and left is low beam and when I swich on hi-beam vice versa happens. If possible then I have to bring it back to have it back-job.

No this is not purely bulb swap. I bought a new wiring harness complete with wires, fuse, relays and socket paired with new H4 bulb as my old socket got toasted. The electrician even tested it low and high beam making sure that it is correct but when im using it at night something seems off with the low and hi-beam.

August 25th, 2020 10:30 AM #14477H4 is H4.
US law even requires that they be completely inter-changeable, without the need to re-adjust headlight aim.
one possible explanation to your problem is error in the external wiring.
but before you tear thru the wiring,
check first the... bulb socket seating.
i recently had problem with my innova's headlight aiming.
i had the mekaniko replace the headlight housings, as they had become cataractic.
but the headlight beams afterward were un-satisfactory.
no amount of aiming would give me the desired effect.
i finally traced the problem to bulb socket seating.
whoever installed the bulb+socket, did not seat the socket correctly into the headlight housing.
you can actually see if the seating is correct, by comparing the left and right headlights from the front (that is, assuming one of them is seated correctly).
examine closely the metal ring that is the bulb's collar, and how it seats against the housing. they should seat perfectly flat and evenly all around. compare left and right very meticulously. the difference may be 1-2 mm only.
yes, installing the socket onto the housing is a blind, muscle-memory-only process of sleight of hand. the most difficult part there is the ngawit ng kamay.
if you really can not do it, you can remove the headlight housing and see how it's done.. it's only a couple of bolts and a pull here and there. it's not like the lancer cedia, wherein you have to bring down the bumper first! heh heh.
good luck.
addendum: you will have to move backward the engine air filter housing and the battery, to give your hand more work space. loosen or remove their restraining bolts.Last edited by dr. d; August 25th, 2020 at 10:41 AM.

This is what i do I aim at the wall yesterday night and the aim was different from left and right H4 bulb low beam and hi beam it seems one is low and one is high and vice versa whenever i switch on low and high beam that is when I think that the electrician might have reverse it or as you said the socket might be not in the right position.

August 25th, 2020 11:13 AM #14479serious!
disconnect the socket or the wiring harness plug.
un-install the headlight housing.
study and install correctly the bulb+socket.
re-install the housing.
connect the wiring harness plug.
5-10 minutes per headlight.

It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
