Honestly, I still don't have the fuel consumption of the SG. The last time I was supposed to get it, my driver reset the gauge before i could record the number.
The one before that, he forgot naman to reset the gauge before we fueled up.
Kaya heto ako, naghihintay ng susunod na full tank. Eh once a week panaman lang gamit nito.
Sorry. no help at all this time.
Regarding your concern about the grand starex via gray market: could i just share my inputs?
My uncle bought a brand new starex (GRX?) last year via gray market. he was happy with it until he found out that HARI (hyundai casas) will never touch these things. you can only have it repaired where you bought it or sa mga friendly neighborhood repairshops lang. So if that's an issue for you, you might want to share this piece of info sa kamag-anak mo before they buy a gray-market grand starex.

I don't think Toyota and Hyundai can really not touch gray market units. At most, I would suppose, they could charge an arm and a leg to work on it and source parts, but I don't think they'd say no to making more money. Unless, of course, you have a Gen 1 Prius or the like. It would help, however, to have contacts with higher powers at some dealers, so that someone can help you source your parts and accede to your service request.

Yup, added income pa rin sa casa nila yun. They would simply treat your gray market unit as if it was a regular out-of-warranty unit and charge you with their usual labor fees. The problem is when your gray market unit needs some parts which are not common to the regular market unit, you are practically on your own on how to procure those parts.

Sounds interesting. The last time I checked, 2.7 VVTi lang yung Ventury. I tried opening the Toyota Thailand website but it won't, I think it's down right now. Can you please provide us sir with more info re the other specs of this 3.0 D4D Ventury as well as the price? Thanks.

i just drove my supergrandia around last weekend. all i can say is that its stable and it drives better than an innova. it doesn't have torque steer like the innova, and it has good pickup in terms of power.

September 29th, 2008 09:33 AM #150the super grandia is awesome however its not as frugal as i thought it would be.
it only has a 5-6 km/litre gas consumption in city driving. 10 km/litre out of town.
