To those interested in replacing the leaf spring with bushing on the Grandia GL, my brother in law has a heavy equipment shop in Caloocan near Monumento. He can do the job in 3 hour. Cost for me P8500 all in. The leaf springs are new . You can do it yourself by shopping for used previous generation Hi Ace leaf springs. Found one set in Evangelista for P4500 and just use the two lower springs to replace the bushing leaf spring. They offer to do installation for P1200. Wasn't comfortable with it as no idea how much abuse the leaf already took.

ok thanks - I did further research - load capacity for the 195 is something like 900+kg and 8 ply while the 225s at 800kg. I guess the plastic spacer used on the leaf spring for the grandia is also for heavy load. Giving it a stiffer ride. Looks like I'll be going for the 225s - Either Federal tire Courguia (sp?) H/T or Goodyear Fortera.

Any updates sa tires you got? Hindi ba sobrang laki na yung 225/70/15? Wala bang scraping issues pag full turn mo?

What do you mean he can do the job in 3 hours? Will he modify your stock leaf springs or is he selling a new leaf spring?

My brother in law took off the bottom leaf spring and replaced it with two new leaf springs. He did both sides in 3 hours When you buy new leafs make sure the curvature is the same .

Ipon muna ako and I'm canvassing pa on prices of the tires. I'll do an update once I replace my tires. BUT I think it will do fine because the 225 is stock with the super grandia which has the same dimensions

i love my toyota hi ace van .... meron akong 1999 model and 2005 model both commuter type.... it serves its purpose ....

Has anyone upsized to size 16'' tires? Please advise what brand as the oem is 8 ply. Is there any 8 ply tires in size 235 60 16 or 215 65 16 or 215 70 16?

im have scarping issues with my new 225/70/15 tires pa full turn ko. I really dont get why meron sayad sa grandia GL ko. These are the same tires on the super grandia
