November 24th, 2008 02:53 PM #151Guys is it possible to fabricate customized sliding windows for the hiace grandia? kasi latest models now dont have sliding windows anymore e. It's just one whole window panel ( you can't open it incase sira yung aircon or if you have to talk to someone outside). Sa US there are shops that specialize in customizing windows. meron kaya dito? Thanks!

I rode in our company van here- Grandia GL ok naman sya but if aircon conks out on you, it will be a disaster waiting to happen- especially if you are in Manila!
But i kinda like this van- now that Mitsubishi doesn't have a decent modern day van- if i had one, i would name it "loafbread"!
==================================
I saw 2 other newly purchased Grandia GLs in this City and found a interesting add-on: Moulded (Black) Front and Rear Mudguards! It makes the van look more complete/equipt actually. Has anyone there in Manila and anywhere else seen this feature also? thanks.

These are the Hi-Ace that I see on the roads lately:
Super Grandia > GL Grandia > Commuter
The Super Grandia is selling like hotcakes, even at a starting price of Php 1.7M + !
Most Commuter(s) that I see are being used by UPS (custom painted in its corporate brown livery), some hotel, etc. For GL Grandia, St Luke's ambulance, and some more hotels..., etc.

January 31st, 2009 12:19 AM #158Have the current body of Grandia, bouncy ride in the back compared to Super Grandia. Checked the rear leaf springs of both and found out they are not the same. The Grandia had rubber bushings on the last leaf spring while the Super Grandia did not have any. The rubber bushing gives the Grandia a rough ride. I checked with Toyota parts, to replace rear leaf springs of Grandia to a Super Grandia will cost P106000 for a set . At the end my bro in law removed the leaf with the bushings and replace it with two new leafs resulting in a ride similar to Super Grandia. Cost of 4 new leaf just under P10,000 labor included.
