Toyota SA just told me no need to replace CVTF. It’s a non serviceable transmission daw.[emoji28]

The Fluid's replaceable but toyota does not specify replacement intervals anywhere (even though they went out of their way to tell that a fluid drain and refill warrants doing an initial fill in the corolla's repair manual.)
EDIT: Toyota Australia recommends changing the cvt fluid every 80k Km only if operated under severe conditions such as extensive idling otherwise no replacement required

May 18th, 2021 11:50 PM #5406"lifetime CVT fluid."
what it really means is,
"once the CVT malfunctions due to CVT fluid issues, its lifetime is over."
heh heh.
seriously,
if i can't find the replacement schedule,
i'd probably replace my fluid according to traditional AT schedule, or google for the baseball park figure.Last edited by dr. d; May 18th, 2021 at 11:54 PM.
