Hirap talaga mag decide nyan Bossing, ganyan din ang nangyari sa akin last month.
Una between ertiga and mobilio lang. tapos biglang lumabas new avanza.
then plano namin bilhin ni misis yung Avanza 1.3 AT , and then we end up
sa 1.5 G dahil full option na.

Eyeing at the 1.3a/t. How is the performance of the new dual vvti compared to the old one - acceleration, noise, refinement, gas consumption?. Probably those who had the chance to own both can share their experience.TY.

Can anyone explain the complexity on the Lighting indication ECO appearing and disappearing at times in Toyota Avanza 2016?

if the ECO light lights up, it means you are driving economically.

And how does "economical" translate into rpm, speed? Have anyone been able to observe these parameters when the light is on?

Ertiga rides better than the avanza. The 2016 avanza has newer dual vvti engines. Test drive the two before you choose

A couple of days ago, I had our 2007 Avanza 1.5 GL AT checked out due to a knocking problem near or at the engine. My mechanic at Kitanlad (near Banawe) found that the Transmission support was already destroyed and meron na daw lamat yung right hand (RH) side na Engine support. He also found an oil leak at the Flywheel oil seal (at rear of engine daw). Due to the lack of time, only the Transmission support and Flywheel oil seal were replaced (with original parts c/o Toyorama).

7 PM na ako umalis doon because coding yung car and when I finally left, I found out na hindi gumagana ang speedometer and the car wouldn't change gear (upshift). The following morning, this was promptly diagnosed as a faulty Speed sensor, as in naputol/nabiyak siya. Sensing that my mechanic and his boys were somehow responsible for this, I asked them to remedy the problem, which they eventually did by soldering wires to the 3 connectors to maintain the continuity (see pictures).

Tanong ko lang po sa inyo:

    1. Do I need to have the Speed sensor replaced by a new one?
Note: Wala naman akong napansin na problema with the said part for now, pero baka naman magluko in the future. As per Toyorama, original part lang ito and order basis pa, around P7K. As for surplus, meron daw mahahanap yung mechanic ko, baka daw mga P2,500.00.

    2. Do I still need to have the RH Engine support replaced:
2.1 With original part for just the RH side, around P3K; plus labor, P???
2.2 Or with replacement part for both sides na, P700 x 2; plus labor, P???
Note: I noticed the disappearance of the knocking sound, but as per my mechanic meron nang lamat yung RH Engine support.

Sana po ay matulungan ninyo ako at mabigyang linaw ang aking pinuproblema.

    my opinions:
    1. if they cut the wires earlier during the fix, but re-soldered them back and the part functioned as before, then i believe you don't have to replace it. BUT... just looking at the fixed item, i think amateur me can do a better job of soldering and dressing them. the tape might unravel over time..
    2. if the part is already showing signs of impending failure, i'd have it replaced. if it fails, baka mandamay pa ng ibang piyesa.. as in, mapapadali ang sira ng ibang support. i think this is what happened to the RH support.. na-damay nung nasirang suporta sa kabila.
