Precisely what i meant with being too late since i have to stop on the road side. But is it safe to turn off aircon drive slowly and find the nearest gas station or should be stop inmediately?

Newbie here. Anybody po already bought the latest Avanza model? Am planning din sana, but would want to get feedback or review from those who already did.

That's true. The moment it lights up Yellow (or red), it will be just over the threshold of what the acceptable operating temperature is. No long-term damage will occur if the vehicle is immediately stopped. Real damage can occur however, if you continue driving it with the warning light on.

having a temperature gauge with a needle, is just like having a stoplight with a countdown timer.
it is a nice feeling, when we can anticipate things..

Good day to all. Planning to take my 9 month old avanza to baguio this christmas packed with 6pax plus luggages for a week. Up through kennon and considering side trips to sagada and that La presa area in the tv show. Will I be pushing the car too far? Any tips would be appreciated.

Ah brand new. No need to wait for any maintenance. Just check fluids and tire pressure and you're good to go. Malamig na kaya sa baguio?

hi sirs gusto ko lang po sana confirm regarding ung new avanza... sa site po kasi ni toyota naka dual vvti engine na siya pero dun sa downloadable brochure niya engines for both 1.3 and 1.5 variants are K3-VE and 3SZ-VE respectively which is ung engine nia prior to that and are not dual vvti engines.. Sana po may makapag confirm nito...TIA mga sirs!

Need your inputs po, I am planning to buy a new car at nagtatalo pa ako kung alin ang mas maganda sa dalawa, Ertiga o yung bagong Avanza? I will post this also sa kabila to help me decide according to your experiences:
- ano po ang average FC nyo for pure at mixed city driving? I will use my new car for daily commute sa NCR at weekend drive Pampanga
- wading depth po nila: most of the time marami ako nadadaanan na baha e..
- issues on your usage, may mga naencounter po ba kayong major problems sa kotse? if ever ano po yung mga yun?
- after sales issues? Problema sa pag-asikaso during repair?

First time buyer po ako if ever ng brand new na sasakyan, and reason is gusto ko ng kotse na mas tipid sa gas at pagod narin sa frequent trip sa mekaniko para sa mga repair. If ever I'm planning to keep the new car for at least 5 years to max of 10 years so as much as possible po gusto ko nung hassle free..

Andyan pa rin ang maganda after sales ng toyota. Pero i wont agree na mas superior ang daihatsu sa suzuki. But i'll agree with toyota over suzuki

Maybe... but between the Ertiga and Avanza, it's Avanza for me, hands down.

The Avanza has a roomier interior, has rear-wheel drive, has a higher ground clearance, etc. What's going for the Ertiga to me would just be the styling. But then, everybody knows that aesthetics is very much subjective.

My problem with FWD cars is the amount of suspension complexity in front. A lot more parts to wear down that eventually produce rattles. This was our experience with our Swift, Jazz and Civic.

FWIW, my two siblings respectively drive a Swift and an Avanza. I've driven them both and my impression of the Swift (which is where the Ertiga is based) feels 'kalampagin'. The Avanza feels a tad bit more solidly-built.
